Stayed 4 nights for Thanksgiving with wife. Usually stay at MGM/Mirage properties but wanted to try this place. Was not disapointed. Cool looking casino with good drink service and friendly staff. Heart bar was good place to have drinks and kick off the night. Pleasure Pit gave off a good vibe and made the casino stand out from some of the other nice casinos. Definately would come back again.

I stayed there with two other friends. I had originally made the reservation for two people on PH's on-line,
and adding a third, would have increased the cost. When we checked in, the front desk said they would
not charge for the 3rd person. Check-in was quick, even with a line. Service was great and the valet were
very nice (sometimes valet service staff at hotels are not). The best thing about PH is the location and
restaurants, though the changed decor looked great. The mile high shops are right there, and just outside
the front entrance, is a bus stop for the Deuce. Spice Market buffet remains the best food for value. I have
stayed at numerous hotels on the strip and I plan to stay at PH the next time I go back.

Overall, I guess our stay at PH was okay. Just okay. The location is great...right across from the Bellagio and close to Paris. It's best attribute is having P.F. Chang's on site. The restaurants are okay. The rooms are okay. The service was okay. The pools were okay. You just expect more than okay when you're in Vegas.

Spent the weekend in a comped Hip Room. Room was nice and huge bathroom, but they tempt your hangover in the morning with $5 bottled water, vice heading downstairs to get one for free. Slots were tight, and drained $1K in less than 2 days on the floor. The real bad part was the valet. They were so understaffed on Sunday, it took 2 hours to get my car back. Once I got home, I noticed a nice dent on the passenger door. Obviously it's too late to do anything about it.

Construction re modelling finished Casino ruined looks cheap and nsty from outside and has lost the open feeling of the old Aladdin inside. It seems that all steps have been taken to deny it's past as the Aladdin. There is no sign it ever had been. The only trace left is in the Stomp out loud theatre where a fair bit of the old fittings and London Club stuff is used to decorate the walls. The Casino hosts are very aggresssive here and it is worse than walking the strip for being hassled.
I guess if you are younger than 30 the place may be your thing otherwise it is now one of the worst places to go.I won't bother again

My wife and I got to stay here for free after winning a contest. Overall it was a very nice place to visit. The good included: The rooms were very nice, and the bathrooms were awesome! If you value a nice bathroom you should like it here. The location was very good. It was within easy walking distance to most of the action on the strip too. Also, the elevators were tremendous. Very fast. The bad included: The timeshare salespeople were extremely annoying. Couldn't enter or leave without getting mauled by them. Also, this place can be very expensive. Table limits were high, slots were tight, and the food, although very good (Spice Market buffet was awesome and the brazilian steakhouse in the mall was very good too), was not cheap by any means. The casino was also kind of cold. It just didn't have that welcome feeling to it, at least for me it didn't. I did most of my gambling elsewhere.

It was a great place to stay for free, but to me all I ask for is a comfortable bed as the only time I ever see my room is when I need to sleep. The big bathroom was nice as was the big TV, but it wouldn't be worth it for me to pay regular price to stay here. I'd come back if I got a fantastic deal, but I'm not expecting that to happen any time soon.

I stayed here 6 days while in Vegas for a convention. I was able to successfully use the $20 trick at check-in and scored a GREAT Resort Room that had recently been refurbished. My room contained memorabilia from the movie Dead Poets Society and it was sometimes a little weird having Robin Williams in the bathroom with me! I had 2 queen beds, a flat screen TV, a desk, 2 chairs, 2 huge windows with a great view of the strip and a MONSTER bathroom. There was a great soaking tube that actually had enough space in it for two. There were 2 sinks, a separate lavatory and a heavenly shower. I could not have been more pleased with my room. I did not get the chance to eat at the Spice Market Buffet, but I did eat at PF Chang's. Service and food were both excellent. I also had a quick bite at the Earl of Sandwich for both breakfast and lunch. Very good also. Less than lucky at the casino-I usually only play pennies and came away winless. There was a $10 bonus for joining the slots club. I also used my free pull at the slot machine at the entrance once a day and scored a deck of casino cards. Overall, a great stay and I will plan on staying there again!

The room insulation was horrible. You would hear everything from the outside. I woke up so many times at night because I thought someone was at my door, but there wasn't! People opened there doors a few rooms away, and it felt like they were right in front of your room. We stayed at the VIP room, and it was the worse ever. Felt like I was staying at some cheap motel.

The room was average+ and I am a stickler for clean hotel rooms with comfortable beds. In addition, I noticed that by leaving a $2 tip on my pillow each morning helped the room become even tidier. What bothered me the most was the costume hanging on the wall in a plastic case. It was a men's suit that an actor wore in a film made in the 1930's. It really creeped me out because it looked like someone standing over me if I would awaken in the middle of the night. I am assuming that all the rooms have a costume in them. I didn't see the pool but the self parking garage was a long walk through the mall. The best comment I have to make about this hotel is it is located in an ideal spot on the strip. The front door of the casino is near the sidewalk (I have stayed at other casinos where you had to walk a long distance just to get to the casino entrance) and once inside the casino, the elevators to the rooms were not a far walk.

I was at the P/H in the month of September and won alot of money in the sportsbook on NFL football and they didn't like it at all as my action was rated "The strip doesn't want sports betttors" just chumps for the SUCKER blackjack and other casino games. The location for P/H was very good, the swimming pool is AWFUL: if you want a VEGAS pool don't go here. My room was not that CLEAN kinda DUMPY: smelly bed cover : leaky bathroom ceiling: still construction going on, cranes; dump trucks all over the place.

My advice if your going to VEGAS it's not worth the money that P/H want's $500 for a Saturday night. Casino hostess/workers are looking for that drunk chump for the tables in a very agressive manner. I liked the shops in Desrert Passage very cool. P/H is somewhat overrated!!!!!

This was our 2nd annual stay at Aladdin/Planet Hollywood. The overall appearance of the property looks great. We were there for our wedding and I used the $20 tip folded over the license and we were given a room on the "ROSE" VIP floor, Rm. 5067. We had a great view of the Bellagio fountains and the room had a comfortable bed, nice desk, nightstands, television, armoire and couch/coffee table. We had a huge closet and a huge bathroom, too. The staff was very accommodating and cheerful. The pool area, though, looked as though it needed new strap lounge chairs and was under some construction but otherwise, it was a great stay for us. The toiletry amenities were great, too. They now have a daily slot tournament and we won STOMP show tickets and it was convenient and a lot of fun. The casino staff was great and we enjoyed the Spice Market Buffet. I highly recommend this property. We solved the endless walk through the Miracle Mile Shops by investing in a dolly from Home Depot that converted into a flat trolly and we used that to carry our luggage in/out for check-in and check-out so we had that part covered.

Casino visit only, to see the changes Planet Hollywood has made. What an improvement! Gone are the cheesy columns with the silly encrusted fake jewels. In their place is a classier, more understated design. This is much nicer. I would actually consider staying here now if the room rates were good. Still a pain in the butt to get from self-parking to the casino though. They need an entrance directly into the casino so you don't need to wander around the mall first in order to get there.

Rooms were nicely sized, well appointed and clean. Everything was much better than the average hotel room, though not over the top luxury. Very nice middle of the road rooms for the Strip. Great location and good views (facing Bellagio fountains).

Spice Market Buffet was well above average for Vegas buffets (Bellagio is a fair amount better, but also pricier). Service is good and gets even better if you tip the wait staff a buck after each drink. After seeing only $1.00 each time, our waiter was hovering to clear plates, refill drinks and see if we wanted anything else (personal seranade, shine our shoes or even kill our enemies...just kidding). Very nice to be pampered for only a few $$ extra. Plus, I'm sure he appreciated the tips, as some tables had him running back and forth and then had the nerve to leave him nothing. OK, the food selection is really nice, with a bunch of different cuisines to choose from (Italian, seafood, Middle Easter, Mexican, etc.). Quality was good to great, with most being above average to really good. Dessert selection was pretty much mainstream and good.

Casino was being redone into a Planet Hollywood, so some construction minimized the casino floorspace and a fully developed theme. Not a big deal, but it was kind of weird to see a Middle Eastern/Hollywood mix of themes. Construction created no problems with our stay, though some entrances/exits onto the strip were being redone and out of service.

Decent value for above average rooms. Would stay again, especially if you get their Player's Club discount on the room ($89.00/night during prime time).

Never a bad time at the Aladdin! We stayed there from 7-18 to 7-21 and when I checked in after waiting no more that 5 minutes I got a free resort room upgrade using the $20 tip trick! No hassle, very friendly check in clerk. The price was fantastic for a 4 star hotel in the middle of the strip! With 3 night stay and round trip tickets to South Bend Indiana it was less that $400 per person! Thats cheaper that a lot of the 3 star hotels. Had a great view of the strip looking north, saw the Bellagio fountians and Paris. Only problem we had was a delay in getting a roll away bed because there were 3 of us in the room. Also the second day there were no glasses left for the room. A quick call to housekeeping both times and we were taken care of within 10 minutes. The room is huge and the bathroom very large with 2 sinks, separate rooms for shower and toilet and a huge soaking tub! The Aladdin is a beautiful casino and it will be a shame if and when it's redone as Planet Hollywood! My brother and my friend did not do too well at the slots but for me they paid out every day I was there. I play mostly nickle slots and early morning, 5:30am seemed to be the best time for them to pay off. We had dinner at the Spice Market Buffet and it was excellent! A bit pricy but we did get $10 off for being a guest. We also had breakfast Wednesday morning and it was good although the variety could have been a little better. I will write a review of the buffett separatly. We had hoped to get same day half price tickets to Penn and Teller but no outlet had them so we booked at full price through the Aladdin. Great seats! Could hardly have gotten better seats for the show! One of the best things about the Aladdin is not having to walk through the casino to get to your room and the fact that each room is no more than 7 doors from an elevator is great when your feet are so sore you can't walk another step. I also enjoy that the hotel is right on the sidewalk and not set way back so that it takes 30 minutes just to get to your room ala Bally's, Mirage, Ceasers, MGM, (you get the idea!). We saw a lot of new slots that we didn't see at other casino's, even MGM which I would have thought would have the newest of everything. I just don't know why anyone would want to stay anywhere but the Aladdin!

UPDATE: Just got back from Vegas yesterday, January 18 2007 and didn't stay at the Aladdin this time but went to the casino. I was looking forward to seeing what changes had been made and I still have tears in my eyes for the vandalisum Planet Hollywood has done to the casino! I'm not talking about the construction but the decor! All that beautiful decor from the Aladdin is gone! In it's place are dull brown and beige colors and columns. There is no excitement at all, the colors and decor being as dull as anyone can get! I knew as soon as Planet Hollywood bought the place that they would redecorate but I sure expected a lot more from them than beige and brown! My friend and I did spend some time there and tried to put the ugly decor behind me. It just seamed that the whole casino atmosphere had changed in a negitive way. I will stop there again next time I go to vegas but unless it has changed much, I probably won't be back. I know they are still working on it and only hope they have a lot more redecorating to finish in the casino! So sad, this was one of my favorite places to stay and play.

The hotel was undergoing construction with the entire front on the strip boarded up and most exits/entrances closed. Approx. one third of the casino also boarded up for construction. The casino has the worst signs and it was very difficult to find the rooms, buffet, etc. I play craps and the tables are hidden and I needed to get directions and still had trouble due to the wierd layout left by the construction. The sports book is also one of the worst with several small screen tvs and if the bartender is making change he blocks half of them. There is a sports bar on the fairly deserted mezzanine level that is better for watching games.

The rooms were nice and larger then the usual. I got a pretty low rate on a busy weekend which made the hotel acceptable, I would have been pretty angry paying more then $100 for this hotel during its renovation

We stayed here at the end of october, beginning of November. Yes it is true that there is construction going on in the hotel, but besides the casino construction, you don't really notice it. The Desert Passage was nice. Good places to eat. I was able to get a $50 a night upgrade to the room for free. Stayed in the south tower on the 19th floor. Room was very nice. Bed so comfortable. Big bathroom. and Good selection of movies on the tube

Hotel is still being extensively remodeled and it's very easy to get lost in the casino. Rooms were generally vey nice, however I had to clean the bathroom vanity up before my wife saw it and had a fit. Beds are very comfortable. Sports Lounge on the mezzanine level was very cool. The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of most hotels on the strip and right in the center of everything.
I play craps. The tables were stuck in a blah corner. $5 minimum table was usually available. One of the dealers was requesting tips from the players, stating he only made minimum wage. I hate that and I wont play craps there again. Try Oshea's, they have a no-craps table with odds at 3-1 on the 11 and the 3. It's great to have 11 as the point and see it get repeated.

The place is in an complete overhaul as it flips to Planet Hollywood. The casino floor is a mess with construction. Rooms need an update. The location at mid strip is unbeatable. The price is cheap, too. Overall, good for the price. If you can get for less than $65 a night, go for it. Wouldn't pay $100 a night, though.

Since they are changing it to Planet Hollywood, it's looking so run down. They are not taking care of the carpeting in the casino anymore, it is so dirty. The place is really turning into a dump. The rooms are about the same. I can't believe they are taking reservations while remodeling! It's a shame that people have to pay to stay in a place like that!
They should clean around the machines. It looks like a dump. Electrical wiring exposed also. Not nice at all. How is Planet Hollywood going to go with the decor near the shops? It's just one big mistake.

The Aladdin is a great value........desert passage is FUN......unique shops and the italian restaurant TREMEZZO is great Sinatra music while cocktails and viewing fountains of BELLAGIO. My room overlooked the Eiffel Tower at the Paris next door which was awsome........loved it. Very central location so at night you can walk around. Friendly staff and loved my room.........great soaking tub. At night the hotel was crawling with HO......endless people watching.

I gambled for 3.5 hours per day with an average bet of $50 and all I qualified for is the Casino rate which was a suprise. Face it you can't get comped anymore on the strip with just some action......you don't want to be a comped player on the STRIP. I will go back........Good luck!

Wish it wasn't changing to the new hip Planet Hollywood. Avoid the $6 bottled water in the rooms. You can find bottled water for under a buck in the Aladdin mall. Also look out for the advertised $18.99 breakfast buffet sign in front of the Spice Market Buffet. They have a $12.99 regular breakfast buffet but you have to ask. Over priced but good food at the Zanzibar Cafe ($5 bucks for orange juice). It pays to go a couple of doors down to Balley's. P. F. Chang's is a great place to eat and is very inexpensive. Stay away from those new penny and nickle slot machines. One pull will set you back at least $1.85. I guess this is another way to get you to spend more money. If you like slots, stick to the three line quarter machines. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were very clean. House keeping refills the shampoo and conditioner bottles. A note to the owners of Aladdin, changing the name and hotel is a bad choice. Who wants to be around a bunch of snotty nose twenty somethings. If I want that I'll go stay at the Hard Rock Hotel which will never happen.

Smoking reservations (at the VIP Desk) were converted to a non-smoking room with a construction site view) which later changed to 20 floors lower withn a pool view and fountain overlook. Luggage was temporarily misplaced. Housekeeping ranged from excellent to poor in spite of a daily tip ! The casino was the suject of forever ongoing construction which required a daily hike depending upon your destination. Spent thousands in dollar machines with neither play nor jackpot return. American Breakfast: 3 eggs, toast, juice sausage or bacon $ 16.25. Lil Joe Breakfast: 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon AND sausage and toast and juice $ 14.50. This makes as much sense as anything else in this hotel! If you arranged with a host(ess), don't expect a greeting much less a visit ! Comps means room - you pay to eat. Never again.

We stayed at the Aladdin from Apr 21 to Apr 28, 06. The self park entrance was far away from the hotel registration and elevator. Guest who drove to the hotel to check in could get one free ride on the ¡§Pedi-cab¡¨. It took us and our luggage to the hotel registration area. Subsequence rides are $4.00/ea. The room was spacious and clean. The washroom was the best I have seen. The toilet was in a separate room inside the washroom. The stand-alone shower and tub were nice and big too. We stayed on the 17th floor which was only a few floors above the casino. We could hear the hammering from the renovation in the morning. We stayed in a non-smoking room. We could smell the smoke from people smoking in the hallway. Overall, the service was good.

Let me preface these comments by saying we had stayed at Treasure Island on two visits prior to our four visits at the Aladdin. We never won any money at TI and the food was so-so. We have stayed at Aladdin in 11/03, 5/04, 11/04, and 5/05.Looking forward to fifth trip late 3/06.The first visit to Aladdin my partner was upgraded to a gold player's card based on the amount of his slot play. Charging breakfasts, room upgrades, lunches in the hotel to your room are usually absorbed as comps upon checking out for gold card members. This upcoming trip gives two nights free, two nights at $79, and the last night (a Friday) at $129 due to heavy play on PENNY slots!!!!! Five nights for $297 !!!! The next plus is a 24 hr starbucks next to the 24 hr restaurant. The last visit in 5/05 they had twice as many penny slots scattered around the casino as the previous visit in 11/04.Perfect for a wanderer like me lol.Yes we have lost money here but in 5/05 i could not lose lol. I won $100 on money storm and $100 on true romance !!!!!Not bad for a 9 or 15 cent bet. The restaurants are reasonable for center strip location (p.s. the paris 24 hr restaurant is about a buck an item higher than zanzibar cafe at Aladdin) Another plus is the Desert Passage mall connected to the casino; serious savings at the ABC store for water, munchies, alcohol and sundries as compared to the gift shop in the Aladdin. We have been upgraded to fountain views and we have overlooked parking garage construction. Let's face it; anyone who goes to Vegas for a view is seriously missing out on something like gambling and eating. Getting around to other casinos is very easy from the Aladdin. Bally's,Paris,Bellagio are right out the front door( the paris-ballys connecting arcade is great ). The bus at 5 bucks for 24 hrs takes you anywhere else on the strip you need to go. The rooms are always cleaned daily (perhaps not as early as i would like) and a 5 buck tip a day will get extra ashtrays ,kleenex, extra towels, etc. Love the seperate toilet in the HUGE bathroom. In room safes are provided no charge; room service is prompt but expensive; room charges are allowed with room key on the premises; no coffee maker but never seen one in Vegas ( they want you out of the room to gamble; it's Vegas lol)We have never had anything less than satisfactory visits; most have been great> We are looking forward to the end of March visit; just a tad nervous about construction woes. I hope gold card check in is still seperate from normal registration. We have heard that they moved check in up stairs to the casino floor :-(. I always liked not dragging my luggage thru the casino. We stayed at TI during some of their renovation and never were seriously inconvenienced, so keeping fingers crossed. If anyone has stayed at the Aladdin in 1/06 or 2/06 drop me a line and let me know. All in all the Aladdin is a great, centrally located and for us an affordable place to gamble and eat and bounce to shows and other casinos. We've never been there on a weekend but the weekdays are not too crowded; there is a noticeable influx on Fridays ; and never too much trouble getting a cocktail or bottle of water EVEN in the penny slot area. Overall rating B+; it's not the Bellagio or Wynn but it's also a third of the price!

Visited Las Vegas 3/11 thru 3/21. Played but did not stay here several times during our visit. The casino staff is friendly, and the slots are OK. We always enjoys PF Chang's for dinner when we're here. Looking forward to Planet Hollywood conversion to be completed. Tired of the Aladdin Theme.

Stayed here 3/14-3/17 2006. Excellent hotel and cheap too!!. Visited all the top hotels on the strip and I must say that only the Bellagio and Ceasers had better/more luxurious accomodations. Our room was upgraded to a Stip/Fountain View room for free. Hotel was consistently clean. Ashtrays never accumulated more than 2-3 butts at a time. Best dining and shopping on the strip. "X" Was a tantilizing experience. Actually won a considerable amount of money at the tables. Wife had fun on the slots. Waitresses were Johnny on the spot with the free drinks, and did not limit what you could order, exotics were okay in moderation. Dealers/Pit Bosses were fun, friendly and helpful. You really got the idea that they truly wanted you to win...as long as you were tipping. David was the most awesome blackjack dealer there. Spice Market buffet was friggin' awesome, although I don't have much to compare it too, we ate lunch or breakfast there all 3 days. Hotel is on the 50 yard line of the Strip so everything is pretty much within walking distance.

The only bad thing I have to say about it is that Planet Hollywood is taking over the Hotel and will eventually ruin the Aladdins style and grandeur. The construction is there but you hardly notice it unless your a stuck up snob who looks for any little thing to complain about. It's really unfortunate that this hotel will not be the same the next time I go back because I would definetely stay there again and again. If you are going in the next few months you should still be able to enjoy the hotel as is now. The Planet Hollywood facade will be in full operation Jan. 1, 2006. Until then I fully recommend this hotel. BTW: Rat Pack: Tribute to Sammy, Joey, Dean & Frank at the Greek Isles hotel and casino is a must see. It is the only show in Vegas that feels like a show from the Rat Pack days. The theater has been remodeled to replicate the old Copa Room at the former Sands Hotel where the Rat Pack Frequented. Oh, and there is a suprise guest at the end of the show.

Hotel rooms at the aladdin are nice. They feel a little cramped but are clean and have nice large restrooms. The casino on the other hand needs alot of work, very boring and basic. I would suggest staying here if the price was right which it usually is but gamble somewhere else.

My friend and I just spent three days at the Alladin and had a great time. The room was nice and we got a great view of the strip without any extra charge. I loved the fact that you did not have to walk forever to get to an elevator. All rooms are just a few doors away from the closest elevator. Elevators were also fast without any undue wait. There is some construction going on with the renovation into Planet Hollywood this fall but it did not affect our comfort in any way. It didn't hurt that Criss Angel shoots much of his show from the Alladin and I am a huge fan of his!

Stay feb.6th thru 10th. Checked in at 1:00,I was informed that I was early, very snotty check in clerk. Room had a wonderful view of the roof! Bathroom was large with a nice tub. No ventalation for bathroom struck me weird. Construction could be heard through bathroom area only.Housekeeping was excellent. Casino was inviting and clean. I DID NOT enjoy the people trying to give away show tickets at every entry around the hotel, except where the taxi drops you off, This did get very annoying. We stayed at the Mirage last year and enjoyed the stay at that hotel more than we did at The Aladdin. I do believe the VIEW,and sales pitchers at the doors marred my stay at the aladdin. Carrot Top at luxor and the folies bergeres at Tropicana are a MUST SEE.

Pretty good visit overall. Room was ok for a reasonably cheap deal through the internet. Loved the slots where you could spend a few hours enjoyment without busting the bank ($1 machines excepted). Food was good (P.F.Changs was excellent value with great service and not too long a waiting list). Building work a bit of a problem causing a lack of bars etc. Would like to try it again when it is finished as the publicity shots look good.

Who wants to walk 1/2 mile from the parking garage into the mall and then into the casino. The pool was just plain ugly and bare. All that hype about Pink's hotdog and the circus circus 99 cent hotdog was way better. The rooms are not very well decorated but the washroom was ok. No wonder this casino has been bought out.

For a $49 weekday rate, there is no way you could ever beat this hotel. The standard rooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms. At late morning checkin, I asked if I could have a view of the strip. The lady said they had a room available facing the mountains, but if I wished to wait til 3 p.m., I could have a room facing the strip. So I waited, and to our surprise, we were on the 29th floor directly facing the Bellagio fountains and the Eiffel tower. No $20 trick, no paid upgrades -- I just asked and received. The room is awesome. We did have a toilet clog and the TV remote was nowhere to be found, but my wife called the front desk and they had someone there quickly to remedy the problems.

I recently spent 3 nites at the Aladdin and had an absolutely wonderful time. The room a standard deluxe (their lowest grade) was above average by Las Vegas standards in size. It was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The maid service was perfect, quick and unobtrusive. There is no coffee pot in the room but that is normal for Vegas. We had no external noise issues at all.

The service, except for the front desk was fantastic. Checkin was slow but checkout was a snap from the TV. The food in the resturants was above average for the Strip as was the service. We ate several nights at the Sushi Bar "Bansai" on the mezzanine, it was wonderful.

As for the casino they had the standard games, the dealers were very friendly and helpful, especially at the craps tables. They only had one single deck blackjack table and it paid 6-5 just like the other mid and south strip casinos.

After slumming at the Monte Carlo for a couple of nite this place was a palace in comparison.

Aladdin is a nice hotel to visit but I will never stay there again, the rooms are small and when other people are using the water in there rooms you can hear it and it sounds like someone is using the water in your room and you can even hear just a normal conversation in other rooms. I do however recomend eating at the Spice Market Buffet for breakfast it was the best of the 3 we ate at for breakfast. If you dont mind listening to other peoples coversation or hearing water running all night go right ahead and stay there, otherwise stay somewhere else, prob will spend less and hsve, more peace and quite. if you would like more info feel free to email me.

We stayed a total of 6 days, 2 one week and then back for 4 days the next week. The room was decent,
but lousy view (for the first 2 days) because of contracting thru a cheap internet company
(i4vegas.com). I was able to ask for a decent view and got it for the second stay.

The casino... well, I did pretty well shooting craps and enjoyed the poker tournaments, but the slots
were incredibly tight. It also took a while to figure out the lay-out of the casino so that we could get
around.

The food in the hotel was rather over priced, but we did find some decent places to eat in Desert
Passage, as well as other hotels.

If you're looking for a good buffet, try the "Big Kitchen" at Bally's... excellent food at a reasonable price.

room first thing in the morning, usually while we were at breakfast. Staff was friendly and
helpful. Room was fantastic. We stayed in a mini suite and had a wonderful view of the
strip. My wife enjoyed the large soaking tub and huge bathroom. Enjoyed the location,
middle of the strip and all the shopping at dessert passage right downstairs. Checkout
was a breeze and the bellman was at our door within minutes of me calling. Clean,
comfortable and well worth the price I paid.

This trip was excellent. The Aladdin was fantastic. I did ask for a view. We arrived too late for that, however, they did upgrade the room without us even asking. We loved the room. Lots of square footage and yes, the bathroom was huge. The shops are great, the buffet was great, and best of all the machines hit for me. :) The Player's Club was worth signing up for. We arrived early about 10 am and they had a room ready so we checked in eary which was real nice. We had a room with a view of the southern end of the strip toward the MGM. This was the second time we stayed at the Aladdin , the rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is large with a large soaking tub and a fair sized shower. The only negative is the time share sales people at all the doors they pester you every time you come or go, I just started telling them I was from Las Vegas when they asked where I was from, and that seemed to leave them speechless.I had no luck in the casino but that was everywhere I went, but it was going at all hours so somebody must have done some good. The breakfast buffet was very good and well presented, but it is the only buffet we eat we don't do lunch or dinner. They were doing some remodeling in the casino area, maybe getting ready for Planet Hollywood? I have stayed at a number of the strip hotels and is as nice as any of them as far as the rooms. I will stay here again, maybe they can let me win just a little?

Just returned from my second visit to Aladdin. Rooms are very nice, among the best on the Strip (maybe short of Belaggio, Venetian and Wynn, at least from what I have read.) Room and bathroom were large. Bed was a little soft (wish I had the harder mattress some have complained about). Maid service was excellent. Hotel and casino personnel were very friendly and helpful (a word of caution - I ran into some apparently new dealers who need a lesson in common sense and guest relations, but they were a minority and the pit bosses seem to be willing to listen to complaints). Good restaurants in hotel and the Desert Passage. I thought the buffet was good, but the long lines seem to have disappeared (maybe my standards are too low, but it still is better than LV Hilton, MGM and Bally's buffet). Casino was louder than most with all of the loud music being played; it was hard to find a quiet spot. I only hope Planet Hollywood improves the atmosphere and not turn it into another Hard Rock Cafe. Check in and out was pretty quick. Desert Passage a definite plus.

Was our first trip to Las Vegas. We chose the Aladdin after talking with friends who have enjoyed the property. Excellent location in the middle of the Strip. Easy walking distance to other strip attractions and Hotels. We did not rent a car and had not problem getting around.

Checked in around midnight after traveling from the east coast. No line for check in. Desk staff very friendly and accomodating. Did not ask for any special upgrades or room locations. Desk Clerk was efficient and when he handed me the keys told us to enjoy our visit. We were taken back when we arrived at our room on the 21 floor to find out we had been upgraded to a panoramic suite. It was a South view of the Strip but Wow, what view. Did not care it was not of the fountains!

Room was very clean and had a very appealing decor. Enjoyed the large bathroom area with seperate shower stall. Bed was comfortable. A little firmer than most hotel properties, but comfortable. A/C worked well.

We spent two afternoons at the pool. While this pool area is not as up to date as some other properties on the strip it does serve it's purpose. No lazy river or waterfalls. Bar service at the pool was quick and friendly. Pools were clean and there was plenty of chaise lounges. Towels were very large and soft. Music was fun and contemporary, not too loud. Overall the pool had a fun party atmosphere without being overbearing.

The only negative part of our stay was our Breakfast at the Spice Market Buffet. We did not feel it lived up to the reviews we had read. Selection was average and we did not feel the presentation and service was all there. Room was noisy. We had eaten at the Paris Breakfast buffet the day before and found it to be much more enjoyable with a much greater variety.

Our flight from Las Vegas was very late in the day and we had to check our bags with the Bellstand. They were very accomodating and friendly. Helped us get a cab back to the airport when we left the hotel.

Overall we found the Aladdin to be an excellent choice and value. We learned that Planet Hollywood has taken over the property and will be making a major transformation in the next 12 months. The Aladdin Desert Theme will be replaced by a new theme. I hope that Planet Hollywood is able to provide the same high standards we were treated to during this trip. No, the Aladdin is not the Ritz Carlton, or Four Seasons, but it is a clean comfortable property in a location filled with hotel giants.

Just finished staying at the Aladdin Aug 21 - 24. Very nice hotel / casino. Arrived at 11 am and was able to check in right away. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Rooms were clean and the bathroom included a soaking tub. Pool is nice but very plain. Casino is fun and we did well on the video poker machines. This place is a great value for the money and the mid strip location is great. One final note: Watch out when you try to check in. For some reason they have people in the lobby who will come up and offer you free show tickets. I was trying to ignore them but my wife took the bait and we were stuck listening to a time share presentation.

We have just returned from our second visit to Aladdin in 2005. We were very impressed with the Hotel and Casino on first visit in March, so decided to return in August. We were lucky to be upgraded to a larger room, overlooking the pool area (in March we were at the back of the hotel with a boring view); unfortunately it was on the 7th floor so we did not have a good Strip view, but we have taken holidays in Vegas for the past 12 years and have enjoyed rooms overlooking the Strip before. The room was very clean and well kept - the bathroom larger than usual - and the maid service during our stay (10days), was excellent. We did, however, notice one or two things that appeared to have deteriorated since March - perhaps this was to be expected due to the pending change over to Planet Hollywood ? Firstly and the most noticeable was the Buffet - In March the queue for the Buffet was often well round past the Poker Area, this time no queue at all (A good thing you might say), but when we started to select our food we realised why...it had definitely gone down hill and the organisation for the serving of the food itself was very poor (especially the seafood selection). We thought perhaps we had just chosen a bad day so tried a breakfast buffet on another occassion but we were still disappointed. The pool area was kept clean and tidy but the pool bar definitely needs some life breathed into it.....plenty of scope for Planet Hollywood I guess. The only other critisism we had was that due to the lounge bar being situated in an open area above the Casino, the music could be heard where-ever you were in the Casino...at times it was overwhelmingly loud...this was something we hadn't noticed so much on our March visit. In other Casino's you could at least find a relatively quiet area if you needed to !!

Family friendly? Go to Disneyland! Were talking Vegas. Last Nov. stayed at the Nugget, wife likes the slots. Played all over downtown and NEVER won anything! This was probably my last shot and the Aladdin came thru nicely! Upgraded us to a fountain view on check-in, nice move. Staff was super friendly. 5$ Craps if you waited it out. Didn't think this was possible on the strip. Let the wife win some nice pay-outs and she is ready to go back tommorow. Afternoon lounge show (David Van Such) was one of the things I really like about Vegas. Top notch! Totally enjoyed his band.
Draw-backs, blow up the pool and start over. Bed's are hard as a rock (thought I was in Mexico). $7.50 for a Crown/Water, at least make it tall.
Will go back for sure. Probably in the winter because I love a good pool.

PS. Send Collin Hay over to the Hard Rock! I like the Jazz/Blues theme much better.

Location is great, Service was very friendly with attentive staff. I was a little displeased about the casino. I played on the craps table for 3-4 hours each day during this 4 day stay and gave them my players card each time. When I went to check out they had no record of me ever playing. No source of feed back. The casino was very dead even on weekend nights. They seem to be in mid Planet Hollywood mode. Rooms are a good value. Not a great pool for a summer visit but being near the shopping mall can cut food costs considerably.

Stayed at Aladdin 7/23-7/30. First visit to Aladdin. Have stayed at the LV Hilton, Bally's, and Paris since 1991. Our host booked a Resort Vista Room looking both North and South on the Strip. Could see NY/NY, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Paris, Caesars. Beds were fine...read some complaints about them being too hard. Not in our room. Living room area had a sofa, chair, TV...three large windows to see the sights. Excellent view. Bathroom was huge with a separate sunken tub with a large window to view the strip while bathing. TV in bathroom also. Separate walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet areas. Outside bathroom was another separate vanity room with sink, mirrors, and shelf running the length of the room. Desk with flat monitor computer in room. Double closets. Very clean and attentive staff. Spice Buffet was excellent. Elements was superb. Zanzibar was excellent. Casino was lucky...especially VP, WOF, and Monopoly. Did not encounter any negative staff in the hotel, casino, or restaurants. Would recommend Aladdin to everyone. Hopefully, Planet Hollywood only improves the already outstanding property.

Great location. With easy location the rest of the strip.

Rooms are Average with good views of either the strip or the Mountains.

Resturants are nothing special (try Pinks hotdogs, i still think Nathans are better).

Casino slots very loose with a great promo card.

Check in was one of the quickest and helpful staff.

Eays to get a cab, but if you are driving and parking in the lot. It can become hard to find your way into the hotel, its a long walk 20mins +

Will stay here again, but will wait and see what Planet Hollywood does with it first.

I HAVE BEEN TO LAS VEGAS SIX TIMES AND I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE ALADDIN.
THE POOLS ARE ONLY 3'6" AND VERY PLAIN, NO ROCKS, WATERFALLS ECT.. LIKE THE OTHER HOTELS, IT CLOSES AT 7:00 PM WHICH I THOUGHT WAS STRANGE BEING THAT IT IS SO HOT AND LIGHT UNTIL 9:00PM. THE AIRCONDTIONING WAS VERY POOR ALSO, THE HALLS WERE HOT, ELEVATORS AND CASINO WERE ALSO HOT. THERE ONLY SEEMED TO BE VERY EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS, AND TO FIND A $10 BLACK JACK TABLE WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN. CAESARS WAS MUCH NICER EVEN NICER BATH TUBS, GREAT POOL, AND NEAR THE FORUM SHOPS WITH LOTS OF NORMAL PLACES TO EAT.

Thank You to all the great people at the Aladdin. My son is handicapped and in a wheel chair. We had reserved three rooms, and it was important that we be adjoing to his room. Everything from the checkin (piece of cake) to the vallet parking, to the room accomdations was great. They made my first trip to Las Vegas a memorable one, and everywhere we went, they were great at accomating him in the wheelchair. The casino had many tables that my son could play at, and the restaurants were terrific. Bottom line was a super friendly staff, a great location, and superior service. My second visit to the Aladdin (and Vegas) very quick check in - a very nice room almost a suite - the staff were all courteous and friendly, the housekeeping was excellent (the little chocolates on the bed were a great touch). The shops in Desert Passage have changed quite a bit since last year but the replacements to those that have gone seem slightly more up market, It a great shopping experience. I determined this time to work on my video poker having practised on the computer for months - but the comped drinks at the bar soon saw me losing grip on sobrierty and losing any gains as concentration was lost. So I moved over to the Roulette wheel which at £10 minimum spend is a bit pricey for me but hey I was on holiday - over all I think I broke even on Roulette and came out slightly ahead at video poker - however my attempts to play at other hotels elsewhere saw an overall losing holiday once again - So maybe I should have stuck to the Aladdin, which was once again superb - The staff I spoke to about the upcoming changes seemed to be quite positive about the new owners so hopefully we will be back again next year to see whats changed.

This was my first visit to Vegas and the Aladdin accompanied by my sister and brother-in-law who have visited Vegas at least 5 times before, but not to stay at the Aladdin. I had purchased our rooms on-line (Hotels.com) for the excellent rate of $89 Mon-Thurs. We arrived on Monday early evening to find that our rooms had not yet been assigned (although I had booked and paid for my rooms 2 months earlier.) Upon check-in I was told that our "deluxe" rooms would not be on the same floor. (Aren't we traveling together? what does it mean to book 2 rooms together?) However, if we want to upgrade for $50 per night, then we could have two rooms together on the same floor. (WHAT?, I searched the internet to get a good rate, I'm not walking in off the street hoping you have a room for me.)
Well, if you upgrade I can give you one of the upgrades free - like a 2 for 1. Yours, will be the better of the two rooms.

Okay so we upgrade both rooms for $50 per night (2 for 1) And the rooms will be near each other on the same floor. 10th floor - We find our rooms NOT together; one of us should use the North elevator and one the South to have the easiest access to our rooms. (That's Togetherness!!)

My room was very nice, overlooked the pool area and the Bellagio and we could see the Paris balloon. Accommodations were very roomy, a couch used once and a large bathroom that your family could use all at once and not interfere with anyone else. Nothing wrong with this room, but hey I only intend to sleep here.
Not the king bed as requested, but 2 Queens. Only two of us, don't need two beds. Housekeeping took awhile to clean to our room each morning; left and came back one afternoon still not done.

Now for the second upgrade (mind you, it was a "free upgrade") This room was furnished the same as ours. The room overlooked a roof with the backside of a billboard blocking the view of the Paris hotel, BUT you could see the top of the Eiffel Tower if you moved one way or the other in the window. You could also see a little of the Bellagio, but the view mostly was the roof top and the billboard back. (Nice upgrade)
You could not use the drawers in the armoire because it was pushed forward and the drawers were blocked by the bed. So my sister only had use of the smaller drawers. It took two days and 3 phone calls to get glasses for the bathroom (plastic cups provided)

We did not receive any special comps, but did get a discount ticket page when we checked in. On the night we went to the Tremezzo Restaurant and presented our $10 off coupon the waitress said "oh, you could have done much better than this." Another coupon -You can only get the Free Aladdin mug if you join the players club. You get two free admissions to the spa, but that only gets you IN. A coupon for 'Slots play $20 get $10' was never used as you needed to sign up for a player's card and at 11:45 pm one evening the lady told ne she couldn't make me a card and to come back tomorrow. Also we had two guests in each room, but only 1 ticket per room???

Just for walking in the door of the Tropicana we got a coupon for "Slots- Play $20 get $30" and didn't sign up for a player's card or anything. We paid $20 got a ticket for $50 and played slots.

The rooms were clean, the hotel is area is nice, especially the Desert Passage area. The route from the parking garage to the hotel reservation desk is ridiculous, although we could have used valet parking. Service personnel needs to know how to be more accomodating. No one asked if we needed any help with our bags. (My brother-in-law was walking with a cane due to a disability, but was never asked if any help was needed.)

I would NOT use the Aladdin again, there are too many hotels to choose from to come back again.

Very, very good visit! It was our first trip to Las Vegas, so I really didn't know what to expect. I had read all the reviews and was a bit concerned about how well we would like the Aladdin. We arrived at 10:00 in the morning, and there was no line whatsoever at the front desk. Given that it was early, I was certain that our room (king, non-smoking) would not be ready, which it wasn't. However, there was a non-smoking room with 2 queens, or a king, smoking available. I took the non-smoking room. It had a decent view of the mountains (21st floor); I would've liked to see the strip, but oh well; not that big of a deal. When we walked in, I was terrified that we'd be overwhelmed by the smell of stale smoke, some other nasty scent, or unbearable heat. Much to my surprise, the AC was working very well, the room smelled fine, not like smoke or anything at all, really. The bathroom was awesome, as advertised. Beds were nice, not as nice as my bed at home, but not horrible either. Our room was very quiet, not noisy at all. If it wasn't for the 2 people arguing (loudly) in the next room, I would've wondered if we were the only people in that whole wing.

We unloaded our bags and headed out to the strip and were promptly stopped in the lobby by a man wearing a tux, asking if we had gotten our show tickets. We stopped and listened to the "tour" package which quickly turned into a sales pitch for their stupid timeshare condos. Once I realized they weren't Aladdin-related, we stopped them cold and took off. Very poor to let these people into the hotel lobby to try to get people signed up.

The on-site restaraunts were ok. Tremezzo was good quality, but was a little too expensive for what we got. Spice Market buffet was good, but maybe a little on the pricey side. Casino floor was fairly busy, but we're not big gamblers, so we didn't care.

All in all, it was a great stay. I didn't expect to win $5000 after throwing $3 into a slot machine; or to have my room or any meals comped; so I certainly wasn't disappointed.

We never checked out the pool area, but I cannot see anything that would be attractive to kids. If you have kids and want to take them on vacation, DO NOT GO TO LAS VEGAS! There is just nothing for them to do.

My husband and I were here celebrating our 15th anniversary. Upon check in we were asked if we were celebrating anything and when we told them we were they upgraded us to the Panorama Suite for no charge. They also upgraded the other party that was with us to a stip suite. Our overall experience was GREAT. Our room was very clean and comfortable. No complaints at all. The buffet was exceptional. Check in and out were very expedient.

This was our 6th visit to the Aladdin and unfortunately our last. We always received comps for rooms and food until this trip. My wife played the slots a total of 21 hours in three days and I played a total of 17 hours. Upon checking out we found out that our Host, Joe Fouad had resigned the day before and we were not comped any food, not even a breakfast. We played more on this trip than any other and still can't figure out why the problem. We later found out that our host went to the new Wynn's Hotel & Casino, a nice promotion for him. I can see why he left with all of the cutbacks since Planet Hollywood took over. We used to get mailers for free buffet's, $400.00 in free play each and now just free rooms. We can do much better somewhere else and will.

I visit Vegas from the eastcoast about 4 or 5 times a year. I almost always stay at the Aladdin. I can't believe some of the comments posted previously. Of course, every visit is different, but i've always been happy with Aladdin. Checkin is a breeze, complimentary limo from the airport and host services are top notch. I've stayed in almost every type of room, from those with mountain(and parking lot structure) views to strip views and never truly been disappointed. If you are taking your first trip and got a "great deal" expect the mountain view, dont set yourself up for some hollywood version of Vegas where there is no non strip room. Upgrades and comps are easy to come by, and service is fantastic, speedy and quick. Once i left my wallet and car keys in the in room safe after i checked out. Withing 2 minutes a security gaurd had taken me to the room and opened the safe for me.
The food is great at the buffet and the bartenders keep drinks flowing as long as your betting. Look for Ricky, he's a Genie's lamp bar staple, been their since as long as i've been going.
All in all this resort probably gives you the most bang for the buck, and if you gamble like you're in Vegas, the next trip is either 50% cheaper or free.

Good luck!

Hello everyone !!! Glad to be back here in Orange County after another trip to the strip . Well I decided thistime to do 2 things . 1) I was going to stay out in Vegas for a unbelievable time and take all the comps I had coming to me so I called and was going to stay at the Aladdin to start from 1/07 thru 1/09 then move to Bally's from 1/10 thru 1/12 and then move on to Ceasars from 1/13 thru 1/15 . So a total of one week in 3 different casino's . A little hint get the players cards they do work if you play enough . Well I didn't get comped at Aladdin because I've never played there and I always kind looked down upon it . The location is great but for those of you that don't know the Aladdin is been trouble ever since it was opened in the 60's . It's the only casino that shows that it never really has made money . Now I know why . When I called I asked for a suite and I guess that is what I got but I wasn't impressed . I didn't like the check in at all and the parking was trouble form the get go . The casino lay out is horrible and UGLY !! Seemed the help wasn't into you winning at all . The drinks were watered down beyond belief . I asked for a straight Jack with 4 ice cubes and I got a Jack with a full cup of ice . The room was ok but not up to par with suites I've been in before . Not impressed at all . I still feel that the help hurts this place more then anything also I think the whole title of the hotel is hurting it also .

Stayed 11/30/04-12/3/04 it was the 4th trip to the NEW Aladdin, ( I still have an old Aladdin ash tray ). VIP check in was smooth but it was 9:30 on a Monday morning so it should be empty, they did have a room available, even though check in isn’t till 3:00 PM . I always take what they gave us. This time it was the normal standard room with a view looking East. Since I have seen Vegas from a number of different views over the last 30 years, I decided long ago the $20.00 trick looks better in my pocket. I only spend about 5 to 5 ½ hours a day in the room sleeping and changing.
The rooms are a short walk from the elevator, they are clean, the bathrooms are nice. House keeping did their job making the beds, leaving the towels. The in room safe worked. Computer in the room for a charge. You can view your bill daily on the TV and even check out on the TV which I do not recommend incase you have any comps coming. Check out is by 11:00 AM. Long check out lines at 11:00.
The work out (exercise) area is free to if you have a gold slot card. It is clean and they have the top of the line tread mills and cross trainers. There are enough weights and machines to get in a fair work out. The mens locker room has a hot tub, steam room , sauna and very clean showers. They used to put out juice to drink but it was missing this time.
Lets get to the food part. The coffee shop was closed for remodeling during my August trip but I saw no noticeable change to it now. The buffet had the same food, It is rated one of the top buffets in Vegas. Dinner is $52.00 for 2. Between the 2 of us we ate a total of 15 meals only in the coffee shop or buffet, nothing fancy, we charged it to the room for about $225.00, you do the math. The person I was with this trip thought the other 3 restaurants inside the hotel were too pricy for us to eat at. I will admit a fancy cooked chicken breast for $29.00 is not on the top of my list for ways to spend money in Las Vegas. In my 4 trips to the Aladdin I have not eaten in any of the other restaurants. But if you want $19.00 spaghetti and meat balls go for it.
As for the magic show I felt the Props are too big for the small stage area but some like it that way. The only changes to the casino area was in the high slot area. They removed ½ the machines and put in poker tables. On the main floor there is a good variety of slot machines at all prices. I noticed the pay scales on the newer jacks or better video poker machines is 8/6 so watch which out for the older 8/5 machines. Normal table games, I even saw a $5.00 black jack table one morning. They still have the old gimmick “single deck black jack” with the 6 to 5 pay out for a black jack. There were people playing at the tables, hey it’s their money. Hint, single deck black jack with full pay is at the Plaza downtown. Don’t want to go down town, try double deck with full pay for a black jack at the Imperial Palace.
Aladdin is a nice hotel for the once a year tourist wanting a nice clean room at a reasonable rate, or a more frequent visitor working the comps,.OOPS, Speaking of comps on November 9th the comp (slot card) program the Aladdin was using changed. The old way, example, say you have $30 in cash back coming, if you didn’t take the cash you were allowed to put $60.00 directly towards the room bill. The main change is now you can NOT double your dollars by putting them directly towards your bill. Now you take the cash $30.00 and if you want to put it toward your bill go ahead. The $25.00 slot gimmick by the front door is gone. They are still giving out free cups and caps. With the change in the Aladdin’s comp program, that $5.00 double deck BJ table at the IP is looking better and better.

Stayed at the Aladdin for my honeymoon in 2002. Front desk was very friendly. Told them we were there for our honeymoon and they upgraded us up to a 1200 sq. foot suite with Panoramic view of strip. Gorgeous!! Room service was great (a little expensive though). Maids not very proficient. Had to ask them to clean the tub after three days of not cleaning. Great location on the strip. Loved the 2 pools. Buffet was mediocre at best and the service in the coffee shop/ restaurant was almost non-existant. Gotta eat at the Harley Davidson cafe next door!! Viva Las Vegas!!

I didn't stay there, so I have no clue if the hotel is any good. However, spent several hours in the casino and was disappointed. Don't care for the round scattered layout. Played roulette for a couple hours and had a good time, the wheel spinner (what is the correct name for the roulette attendant?) was freindly and good. Then they brought over some guy who was lost and we left the table. Cocktail service at the table games was good.

Then, I went around playing all different types of machines and it wasn't good. Not once did I see a cocktail server and I didn't see anybody hit anything. Machines seemed very tight.

Check in and valet parking was fine. Room, especially the bathroom, was never cleaned as well as it should have been. Lighting was atrocious. Even with every light on, there was nowhere in the room with enough light to read anything. Lines for the buffet were so massive we never even tried. Room service trays sat in the hall all day and then some. Just not as good as it should be for the price.

Stayed in the Resort Vista Suite and the bed was Very HARD. When I made the Reservation we wanted to stay in the Resort Vista Room. Alladin said that the Resort Vista Rooms were through out the complex that is not true. The standard rooms and exe suites are on the main building and the Resort vista rooms and suites are located on the hotel buildings that stick out the smaller ones. If you stay here, when you enter the mall from the parking garage take the escalator down to the first floor and follow the road it will take about 10 to 15 minutes off your walk. There are 2 Valet Parking, one for the Mall and one for the Hotel.

Visited Vegas on 10/17 through 10/23. Went to check in at 5pm and after waiting a half hour, we were told that all they had in a non smoking room was a handicap room. We made our reservations 4 months ago! After arguing with them they finally found a smoking room with a king on the 6th floor. All I can say about the room is it was clean. Not that big, no view, decent size bath. Went out for supper and came back and our key would not work. Called security from hall phone and 10 minutes later a guard let us in. Next morning had to go to desk and they said I demagnitized the key. How in the hell did I do that! I hope when Planet Hollywood takes over that things change because no one working here seems to care about anything, except expecting tips for everything! I would not stay here again.

When I read the previous rating, I was astonished. We stayed there last year same time and I was also there 10/17/04 to 10/21/04. Our visit was near perfect. super cheap room rate due to players club. checked in at 12 noon, room not ready until 3PM. Standard room, non smoking, spotless just had 2 queens instead of king. At first, the desk clerk wanted to put us on the south view of the strip and I had requested fountain view. So I pulled the $20 tip but the clerk said she could not accept it.(last year the $20 got us the fountains) so we settled for the view south but the clerk said we would "like the room" in the north tower. She did give us fountainview, with the paris balloon and eiffel tower, full view of the Bellagio and all the way to the TI.

With the room stay, coupon 2 for the price of one, for the buffet, fabulous!
We played enough for $47 in food comps good for two breakfast at the zanzibar cafe. The oj is $4 a glass which is ridiculous but the food was excellant.

We actually won on the slots but that was due to knowing which ones to play from the year before. The money to burn, jackpot party and the two boom machines do pay. just quit when you are ahead. drink and slot attendants excellant except they know Planet Hollywood will cut out about 60% of the slot attendants with the cashless systems being added. My favorite machines will probably be removed. Poker tables were going in the high dollar slot room.

slot tournament was discontinued on the 17th, no more hats, jackets etc for comps.Did see casino hosts at every entrance welcoming gamblers, real friendly. word is they are hiring more people.

As for the keys, so many women have purses with magnetic closers, thats the problem. My wife goes thru players club cards like water due to the purse magnet.
Overall, right now, fantastic place to stay at reasonable prices, Two months from now, who knows what Planet Hollywood will do.
Best event, Elton John, thanks to some people from Germany who needed to sell two tickets they could not use about 5 minutes before the concert. A million thanks to them. Best slots, two old ones at the north end of the Bellagio!

We have stayed at Aladdin 2 times, 9/2003 and 10/15/04 through 10/19/2004. Of all the casino rate mailings we received for this time period, Aladdin was the only one that had rooms at the rate advertised. Check in was easy and the property is now a Starwood property so we received Starwood points. This was an added bonus. Our room was excellent with a large bathroom and large vanity with stand up shower and soaking tub as we had before. The king bed was very comfortable and there was little or no noise around us or in the hallway. I am a light sleeper and this is very important to me. The view was OK of the pool but at the rate we paid we accepted willingly. This was apparently a very busy weekend in vegas as a lot of hotels had no rooms or were very expensive when we were shopping for hotels. We received nothing but excellent service here. The casino is very conveniently located to all elevators and the restaurants here are good especially the sushi place. It's open late. The buffet was also good. We got room service one night from PF Chang's which was excellent but expensive. The valet parking is free except tip and takes a while sometimes so allow extra time to get your car in the evenings. The self park makes you walk through the Desert Passage mall which is nice but a long way to walk back to your room. There didn't seem to be cab lines here like we saw at other hotels either. The convenience of Aladdin's location is wonderful across from Bellagio and right in the heart of the strip. Overall this is a wonderful hotel and we will certainly stay here again especially now that Starwood has assumed ownership.

My husband got a "deal" on hotwire.com.Then called the Aladdin to see if we could upgrade the room. Sure for $140.00 MORE PER NIGHT!!! I almost had a heart attack wehn he hung up and told me what he did. But Honey, he said it is a RESORT VISTA room with a tub over looking the strip! We arrived at the resort, checked in and when we walked into our room....we both were silent.First of all the tub overlooked an empty lot that was undergoing construction..the suite was cut up really weird...the view outside the window was sort of okay I guess...but after about 5 minutes, I said"I've got to go talk to the front desk". I waited in line, spoke to the gal, told her the problem...the room was okay but not for an added $140.00 per night on top of the "deal" hubby had already got with hotwire @ $85 pernight for a deluxe room. "Lan" spoke with her supervisor and asked what I wanted to do. I told her that I actually wanted to downgrade.....well between the deluxe room and the resort vista room was a "resort room"....Instead of charging us $140.00 per night on top of the$85.00 we already paid to hotwire, they only charged $50.00 more per night. This translates into $135.00 per night and whaddaroom!!!!!!!!!!
Guess what vista means in Spanish??? View!! Well this was the plain old resort room, NOT the resort VISTA room, and the view was superb! And this cheaper room was a tiny bit smaller than the other, the same deep tub did NOT overlook the strip (Who cares) and we got 2 queen size beds instead of just one King ...(Hubby snores :) At night we would cuddle, open the drapes of the 2 huge plate glass windows and see the Bellaio fountains and the Paris balloon. MAgnificent! By the way it was room # 2033 Thank you, LAN

When we checked in the manager told me the computers were down. I asked to be upgraded to a suite and she said she couldn't do it because the computers were down. I was given a room the size of my closet in a noisy part of the hotel. I didn't receive my free meal voucher and everyone at the desk was rude. I stayed here before and it was a terrible experience and had to stay this last time. Never again.

I'm a big fan of the Aladdin. The rooms are quite nice, especially the bathrooms with the excellent deep-soaker tubs. The buffet is simply tremendous, one of my favorite meals to get anywhere. Man, just thinking about the spiced lamb at dinner is making me hungry. The casino is quite chintzy, but I have to admit that I have a soft spot for its over-the-top tackiness. Plus, if you want classiness you can just walk to the Bellagio or MGM right nearby, or go upstairs into the London Club if you have the cash to play at those tables (I don't, or at least I'm not willing to put that much cash on the felt). The one real complaint I have about Aladdin is the horrible walk from self-parking to the rooms. I almost considered doing valet parking, which is saying something because the idea of paying for valet parking makes me sick on the inside. Its seriously a 20 minute walk from the lot to check-in. You'd best have a rolling suitcase if you're going to stay here. Outside of that minor complaint, however, I say that this is a great place to be. I certainly enjoyed myself.

Have been to Vegas several times over past year, mostly for medical reasons. This was my first stay at Aladdin and only for one (1) night. Check-in was a breeze! Desk clerk was a doll! When he found out why I was there, he upgraded my room! Room was very nicely decorated, spacious, spotless, quiet, fabulous view and the biggest hotel bathroom I've ever seen! Only slight beef was no security precautions for guests at elevators. Used to guards asking for key, especially at night in other hotels. Otherwise, great place! Lori S. Scottsdale, Az

Vegas regular for 20 years and this was my first stay at the Aladdin. Casino employees (dealers, pit bosses, cocktail waitresses) were outstanding and very friendly. Housekeeping also excellent providing prompt service when I requested extras. Valet parking is free for hotel guests and the young people who park/retrieved our cars were very efficient (never had more than a 5-10 minute wait. Also had a great experience with the casino host (J. Faud) who set up my reservation (a true Professional). MY NEXT VISIT WILL DEFINIETLY BE A RETURN VISIT TO THE ALADDIN.
I understand that Planet Hollywood is taking over on September 1st, hopefully they won't mess up a great casino/hotel where guests are made to feel so welcome.
