We were given a room with a queen-size bed at arrival, rather than the King we had booked. Our room was also without bath towels when we arrived. We had to dry off with hand towels after our first shower in order to make it to a show on time. Other than that, the room (630) was lovely. It was huge and nicely-decorated.

We were here for one night on the 26th floor looking west in the north tower. The room was very spacious and clean. Check-in was good. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but dark/shadowy over the tub. The showerhead was dated looking and was made for short people. The tub faucet was a steady stream dripping when we arrived in the room. We had to close the bathroom door so we woudln't here it at night. We could not turn off the tub faucet anymore. We were going to have breakfast buffet downstairs but realized that it was sunday brunch at a rip-off price. Hardly anyone eats at the buffet. People were having coffee etc and the coffee shop in the mall area. We used the glass elevator always since our room was very close to it. Check-out was ok. The free parking in the north garage was plentiful and close.
We would probably stay here again in the future.

The Las Vegas Hilton has become our "HOME AWAY FROM HOME". We make two trips to Vegas a year and can't imagine staying anywhere else. ... we even turned down a FREE 3 night stay with $100 free play and 2 buffets at the WYNN, as stated we can't imagine staying anywhere else. The "comfort" level is second to none.
Great dining choices for all spending levels;
Great variety of slots (constantly changing games);
Big casino, but easy navigation so you don't get lost;
Great rooms with comfy beds;
Great location with easy access to the monorail to visit strip properties
Fast moving cab line if you don't have a car
In house limo service
In house car rental
Great attentive customer service.
It's all here ... why stay anywhere else!
I only wish they would better define the lines between the classic, elite and ultra members.

This Hotel has no security in the guest room areas. Power Drunks run up and down the halls at the Hilton,
pizza parlors slide flyers under your door. Anything goes in the guest room hallways. Housekeeping
Services flat out suck. There is a clear indifference to guests and a general lax attitude by the Hotel
staff. The food was average at best, the sports book was the best food in the Hotel. Lots of little kids
running around every where. This is very nice property, its a crime that it is run by people who just
do not care. Hilton clean house at this facility and start over!

Visited for one night 11/3. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was by far our best visit. When we first got there, our first room had a running bathtub. 10 minutes later we were in our new room. The beds were fantastic and the room was very comfortable.

One of the few LV hotels that still cater to the low-middle roller. Stay at least once a year and get so many offers its staggering! Only downfall is location but always rent a car so its no big deal. Casino is not SOOOOOOOOOOO big for a large hotel that you can always find your party. Drink service could be improved but a dollar tip gets you good and strong ones! Make sure you stay in the Central tower-rooms are much better and ask for an even numbered room. Buffet is not as bad as some comments make it out to be- Sure its not Paris or Bellagio but its also ½ the price. Restaurants are good-Benihana, Mexican Restaurant, Sushi Bar, and the Steakhouse. Service VERY Slow in the coffee shop but good food. Give it a try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time staying here as a buddy was attending a convention next door.
This is a nice property that seems to cater to the convention crowd. Nice pool, decent (but limited menu) coffee shop but a great (Jersey style) sandwhich shop in the sports book. The multiple NFL games in the theater were great. I've been to Vegas 20 times and other than it's "off the beat and path location" I think it is a great place and I would stay here again.

This was my second stay at LV Hilton in 6 months. Both times the $20 trick worked; upgraded first time to a HUGE suite with a bar, 2 entrances, marble entrance, living area, and dining area. Second time was put in another suite down the hall, not quite as big, but great. The staff are very friendly and the bartenders at the Star Trek bar kept them flowing. One of the best sports books, but too few table games. They continue to upgrade. Not a great location, but who stays in one place in Vegas?

I stayed at the LV Hilton for the sole purpose of access to the Michael Buble concert(which was AWESOME!) and now wish I had stayed at my regular spot. Upon checkin, the hotel was full, so they did not honor my Gold VIP Hilton card for a guaranteed upgrade, nor did they follow up to see if I wanted to switch as guests checked out. The only saving point of our room was the view of the strip; however, the room itself did not have a fridge or coffeemaker, and looked like something out of the 70's, especially the bathroom, old, old, old. My other failing grade was customer service in the casino, as I found only one area with good waitress staff, and hardly ever saw any slot attendants. And I'm used to exceptional service at Rio & Harrahs. The casino itself was tight, I only saw one winner the entire 4 days I was there.
Thank God for the monorail, if you have to stay at this hotel, plan on using the monorail to visit other more exciting casinos. Purchase a discounted, multiday pass, believe me, you'll use it.
Star Trek area was interesting; however, the food at Quarks was poor, stick to appetizers as those were great!
Last, but not least, do not be under the false impression that because "big brother" is there, they can protect or help you. During a late night of play, I left my digital camera at my machine (baby pics & all). When I asked security to check, they stated it was not their responsibility, especially since I had left it...wow, thanks for the understanding. I know they have 20,000 items lost every year,but a little sympathy, please. Finally, I called a casino host, who followed up only to tell me they didn't see anything at my last location. I guess it's true, "What you take to Vegas, Stays in Vegas!" Just don't stay at the LV Hilton!

The Hilton has been taking good care of me for the last five years. I am pleased to see the upgrades. The Central Tower is always your best bet. Friendly dealers at the crap tables. My family always enjoys the property as well. Benihana is a little pricey but consistently good food. Sports book is the best and a draw for me. Looking forward to Super Bowl.

My group was extremely disappointed in our suite. I had made special arrangements to have a suite bordered on both sides by bedrooms to accommodate our guest. The rooms were dirty, the service was non existent, soda machines on each floor were empty and the area unkept. Attempts to receive assistance from the front desk were totally useless. On several occassions I was told my front desk staff that they would assist us within 10 minutes, we never received anything promised. The suite was dirty, dirty windows, bathrooms with mold on shower doors and shower walls. Water in rooms was charged to our bill even though we did not request it, it was implied that it was there for us at no cost, nothing in the room or on the water indicated that we would be charged. A very little thing but overall very telling on how sad the Hilton is as a Las Vegas Hotel. I will visit Las Vegas as we do each year but we will never stay at the Las Vegas Hilton again.

My visit at the Las Vegas Hilton was fine. Originally assigned to a West Tower room, but was not happy with its dated decor and appearance, so I switched to a Central Tower guestroom, and was much happier.
The Hilton is undergoing quite a bit of upgrading as of present. They were installing a new casino lounge and coffee bar when I was there, as well as overhauling the registration area. The Resorts International people who bought the place have also put in lot of new marble and carpet to kick the place up a notch from where it had been previously.
The monorail is a wonderful amenity and an absolute snap to get to the center-Strip -- five minutes and you are there!

The room was better than expected, took my mom to see Barry M. and we had joining rooms and the staff was very helpful to my mother, (Sr. type). I used to be a comped player at this joynt and don't qualify for any comp's anymore. The hotel is packed wall to wall people who want to see Barry his show is good about what you expect. The only downer is the hotel is as expensive as others on the STRIP, Luxor or Aladdin..........no value here.

Service was horrible. I was part of convention/meeting team and upon check-in was given a romm that had not been cleaned. Went to front desk and told of problem and given room next door and no offer to help with luggage. I had to stay for a week and for 4 days I hd the room service cart in my room, actually for 2 until I rolled it out to patio. Speaking of patio, it face the furnace exhaust of one their roofs. Service sucked! Called for romm service from Garden of the Dragon restaurant and was told NO and then asked if I could just pick up and was told NO. NEVER AGAIN!

I rated the Hilton poor for several reasons:
1. We were not rated at the tables. We gave the pit bosses our cards. Upon checkout the Casino Host said we had only gambled 1/4 of what we actually played and lost. Trying to get her to comp anything was like pulling teeth.
2. Bathroom in Room was in need of repair. Bottles of water are placed in the room. If you drink the water you pay for the water, it is not complimentary.
3. Casino Staff are a little stiff and not much fun to be around.
4. Casino is off the strip, take the shuttle, not cabs
I will say the food at the restaurants was good and cocktail staff was nice as well.
But this is not enough to make us want to come back.

Since Expedia is offering $49 rates, I thought I'd give the LV Hilton a try. I wasn't sure what to expect, because many other reviews weren't so hot. My room in the North Tower (facing the strip) was pleasant & quite clean, furnished in a corporate standard, and looked VERY similar to many other Hilton hotels across the nation. My room was an odd mix of brand new AND really old. All furnishings were new, but carpet & draperies were at least 5 years old. The room was fairly bland looking due to an off white, textured wallpaper covering every wall. Bathroom had fresh new ceramic tile (not marble) but they left a very old tub and toilet in place. The sink area is located in an alcove outside of the actual bathroom. It had a brand new marble vanity, but they reinstalled the old white sink and faucet. I wandered the halls of the other towers and discovered that both the North & East Towers were most recently renovated. Mini electronic safes are available in all rooms for $3 a day. If you want to use the safe, you need to call the front desk to have them activate it. My room had an overstuffed chair and ottoman, but no table & chairs. If you were to order room service, I honestly don't know where you would eat. Rooms in the Central & Rear Towers had brand new carpet, but furnishings were much older. The wait for check in was about 15 minutes, with 9 guests ahead of me in line. Each guest received wonderful service from the front desk staff, and even though some of the people in line were upset over the wait, I can appreciate waiting to receive excellent service. Food at the Margarita Grill restaurant was reasonably priced, and food quality was equal to Chili's. There are relatively few low cost food options at the Hilton. Menu prices at the hotel's goumet rooms would immediately top $50 per person without alcohol. The monorail stop is right outside the casino door, so you can be anywhere on the strip in less than 15 minutes, making this hotel very convenient, while letting you easily escape the madness of the strip whenever you want.

We stayed there for the first time in mid April. Our room was in the East Tower. Avoid a room there unless you are into really long walks. The elevators are the farthest from the front desk, down a longggggggg hall. This tower is also the farthest away from the parking ramp. The rooms were clean. They had the heater turned off and the swamp coolers on. We found the room cold, even with the coolers off. Had to have the maintenance man come up and switch it over so we could use the heater. We also had trouble with the safe in our room. Couldn't get it to work for two days. Had to have a maintenance man up again to fix it. The game SUPERNOVA for new players club members was lame. No one I talked to ever won more than a silly t-shirt at it. STAR TREK exhibit was good. We went to both the Borg an Klingon ones, and enjoyed them both. Had fair luck in the casino. We only ate at the Pizza Hut there, and their menu was pretty limited, but the pizza was ok. Would stay again, but in a different tower.

- Good Visit
Just returned from 5 days at the Las Vegas Hilton. I have stayed at Aladdin, Bally's, MGM Grand, New York, New York and Monte Carlo in the past several years, so I have some comparisons. I won some money at the LV Hilton, so my comments are not "sour grapes."
First, the room was very nice, clean and the service was good. The room at the LV Hilton was on a par with the rooms I had at Aladdin (although the bathroom in the Aladdin was much bigger and nicer), Bally's and MGM, and nicer than the rooms at NY,NY and Monte Carlo. I had what I thought was a good deal, at $150 for the first 4 nights, so the value was there. However, the charge for the in-room safe was $3/day; fair enough, they tell you that up front, but what was annoying was the need to telephone a number to activate the safe; of course, they were having problems with the number so activation of the safe took some time. With the Monorail up and running, the LV Hilton was convenient to the Strip, so no problem there. The LV Hilton also is a short walk to the Riviera, Circus, Circus and the other North Strip properties.
The spa and exercise room at the LV Hilton are small and crowded, on a par with Bally's, and far short of the spa and exercise room at MGM. For $20/day, or $51 for 3 days, definitely not a bargain.
The casino at the LV Hilton is like the other Strip hotels. Typically $10 minimums, crowded at night, fine during the day. The dealers and pit bosses were friendly, a definite plus. The LV Hilton seems to have more $1 slots and fewer $0.25 slots than other hotels. It also has a huge sports book area and a decent snack bar area.
The LV Hilton restaurant selection falls short of the other Strip hotels I have visited. While the "high end" restaurants are fine, the coffee shop (completely non-smoking, you decide whether that is a plus or minus)and buffet are fair or mediocre. The LV Hilton buffet falls short of the buffets at Bally's and MGM (although it may be slightly less expensive than those), and falls very far short of the buffets at Aladdin and Paris (although, again, those buffests are probably twice as expensive); choose money or quality. The LV Hilton Steakhouse and Mistral are quite good.
The LV Hilton also falls short on service. They seemed to be one or two employees short. The lines at the Cashier can be quite long. On the other hand, check-in and out were reasonably quick.
All in all, a good visit.

Great value for spring break time 3/22-3/25/05. Clean large rooms and plenty of parking. Monorail stop was great, I shouldn't have rented a car! Front desk staff was great!! Checked in early About12 got a great non smoking room (no smell of smoke at all) + great view. Average casino area.

We stayed at the Hilton because they were offering a great price on one of the travel websites and they had a monorail stop. The monorail, however, was not working which was a real bummer. Not their fault but thankfully we rented a car. When we arrived to check in, we had to wait in a line that was approx. 50 people deep. Then we looked behind us and there were people lined up to the front door. We have been to Vegas several times and have never had to wait in a line that long to check in. When we got to the desk, we asked for a room with a view and that is exactly what we got which was cool. The bellhop was a real rude S.O.B. Housekeeping was very pleasant as we requested a refrigerator and they brought that to our room.
I have read the complaints about the walk from the self-parking lot to the hotel and I have to say, I don't know what they're complaining about.
The restaurants and the shopping stink.
All in all, I was satisfied with the room itself and I would stay here again if the monorail was working.

Stayed here on Halloween weekend at a great rate compared to the rest of the big casinos. Stayed in North tower, room appeared recently remodeled and clean though the decor was not spectacular. The location of the monorail on the property will greatly improve access to the strip from the Hilton. Great buffet area, recently remodeled and great decor. Great deal and would stay here again.

Check in was super fast and the check in clerk was beyond nice. The room they gave us had a whirlpool bathtab that was great except that we couldn't get very hot water. We enjoyed both restaurants we ate in. The gambling leaves something to be desired. We were both new to Vegas and the dealer at the 3 card poker table told us the wrong rules for the game. (We later found out the correct rules though Hilton's table lesson videos that they show in the rooms) Front desk staff was extremely helpful as was the maid staff. The location kinda sucks, especially since the monorail we had planned on using was down, but we used the trolley to get around and for an all day pass for $5 you really can't complain to much. All in all, it was a good experience and I would recommend it.

We stay at the Hilton twice a year for one reason. We signed up 5 years ago at their Players Club, and we always pay $159 for a 3 night stay (on a Fri, Sat, Sun no less!)plus we receive $50 off dinner in their restaurants , and $10 in chips. I think the place is classy, and wished I`d been there when the King was there. I highly recommend it.

Good visit with my hilton points giving me a free room (yippee!!) Had a great view of the mountains and the strip out our window both nights (first and last night of our vacation.) Loved the breakfast buffet. Check-in was tough. Even as an HHonors member, had very poor check-in service. Also did not get what was expecting in room. But overall, can't complain as it was free! :)

Only visited. Nice size casino (never got lost), buffet was ok (not great), but the staff was unhelpful if not rude. Good VP is there, but it's hidden in the back w/ the sportsbook. The location would be great if the monorail worked; otherwise it's a $10 cab ride anywhere. Lots of potential but the property isn't running on all cylinders.

With the opening of the monorail, this is a terrific value if you book one of their "win, taste and show" packages. Very comfortable, nice casino and coupons abound to cut the price of shows and meals.

Did not stay here, but gambled here and visited the Star Trek exhibit.
First: The Star Trek thing..waaaay over-rated and waaaay too expensive for what it is. As it was...the ride broke down THREE Times and it took over 90 minutes to complete what should have taken 30. What a waste!! The new Borg ride is all hype...it was disappointing. We saw the first one five years ago, and nothing has changed...it was cute FIVE years ago. You have to again go through the first to get to the second, so we had to sit through it again, which to find NOTHING had changed..YAWN. Again, cute the first time...boring as hell the second time and made worse by constant malfunction.
Then we made the horrid mistake of eating at Quarks. We ate there five years ago and it was good...this time it was terrible. The drinks were awful, the waiter, Greg was his name, was a condescending, rude twerp. Horrible HORRIBLE service. He thought he was funny..I had better service at some backwoods McDonalds. I should have reported him. Awful. The only thing positive about the resturant was the characters walking about, however after awhile, they begin to pester you and it's not that great anymore.
We did win $1000 in the casino however..that was great.
All in all..avoid the rip off of Star Trek and do not eat at Quarks!

Worst stay I have ever had in a hotel. I booked a non-smoking, kingsize bed room and was rewarded with a fullsize smoking room. Was told that all the non-smoking rooms were taken and that I could check everyday to see if something became available. Well we stayed from Sunday to Saturday and it was not until Thursday evening that we got a better room. We had problems breathing because of the smoke filled room, along with the very small bed we had to sleep in, and I promise, that I would never ever again, enter this hotel. Plus I am the owner of a small buisness with over 60 employees and this is the story I will relate to them.
