I would not stay at this hotel ever again, and can only tell you to think twice before booking with any Harrah's property-
My outdated room with worn out stained carpet also had a very large ugly visible stain on the ceiling in the bathroom. On the last night when I was getting ready for dinner out with friends - while sitting on the 'throne', brown water dripped down on my head and back. I looked up to see the ceiling was bulging like a balloon of water. The brown water was most likely sewage from an overflowing toilet in the room above us. I called the hotel operator who sent a plumber. The plumber said he had to move us to another room. This would have made us late for our dinner reservations with friends so I said we'd have to deal with moving us when we got back from dinner. A few hours later, we came back from dinner and I went immediately to front desk. The plumber had not notified the desk of bathroom disaster. Front desk clerk did not care about the sewage, nor the mess, nor the hassle that their hotel's negligence in maintaining their property caused us. The hotel manager would only offer us a $25 voucher for dinner, which was pointless - We had already eaten and It was close to 10pm, on our last night, we had to check out by 4am that morning to catch flight. When the bellhop moved us to a new room I told him to tell the rude front desk clerk how bad the bathroom was, the clerk said it was "no big deal".
Just unbelievable rude uncaring staff. I'm left with an overwhelming dislike for this disaster of an accommodation. If your reading this - and are thinking about staying here don't!
By the way - what kind of stupid hotel closes their pool at 7pm?

- Good Visit
Just returned from another very enjoyable visit to Bally's. Still the absolute best location on the strip, easy access to and from airport, etc. We are long time Harrah's customers, so room comps and upgrade to a suite is almost automatic. Everyone wants north tower, but for spectacular strip views, go old school and ask for south tower room. Very clean and well kept. Gaming is ok, 6 to 5 blackjack almost everywhere sucks though, we won more at Paris, Harrahs, Flamingo, but had fun with roulette dealers at Bally's and Paris. We will definitely continue to visit this hotel.

Stayed at Bally's 10/09/2009 for 2 days. Got a better rate that Paris (first choice) yet convenient to Paris and our show "O" at Bellagio. Prompted at check-in for the upgrade to the deluxe room (North tower) for $20 per night and took it.
Room was pretty decent and had a good stay. Blackjack no good here as I won't play the 6to5 blackjack at the cheap tables. Paris and Planet Hollywood better in this regard as they do the normal 3to2.
Overall a decent stay, a matter of price and convenience.

Undecided on whether to rate a good visit or undecided, but the service inclined me to go with good visit.Bally's has possibly the best location on the strip.Bally's has very large, clean rooms...and ours was recently renovated (thus the "deluxe" moniker)But our particular room #860, had the worst view of any place we have ever been in Sin City. The windows were absolutely filthy, surely due to the fact that they cuold only be cleaned by some out of work Cirque performer climbing on the roof that the room "overlooked".Aside from the view, the hotel has it's act together.Classic Vegas meets hip Tequila Bar!!!

Check in was a bit long. Got the room and the first night was fine. Second day we left in the morning and i came back to the room about 2pm to find the tub drain sitting on the floor, junk from the drain all over the side of the tub and the tub 1/4 full of crapy, stinky water and no sign of anybody. Called the dest which told me to call somebody else that told me to call somebody else that told me, you don't belong in that room, why are you there. Well after a couple of hours they "rushed" me to another room and forgot about me as fast as they could. No comp nothing and no sorry, nothing. I won't go back.

Bally's was exactly what we expected. Nothing extremely fancy, but one of the best values on the strip. For roughly half the amount of a room at the Mirage, you get a bigger room and better location. The pool is boring but big. The little cut-out benches on the side of the pool is a great place to chill out in the Vegas sun. The grounds around the pool are expansive and it is relatively easy to find lounge chairs. The view from our room in the south tower was great. The trip to the pool from our room was a little out of the way, but nothing too terrible. Gaming here was pretty boring with only a few small wins. The Paris is attached to Bally's and is a much nicer place to gamble with a nice vibe around the Napoleon's lounge. The service we received was high. (ie. We asked the front desk to print our boarding passes on our last day. The airline had screwed up our tickets. David at the front desk straightened in all out for us and saved me an hour on the phone. That was the most deserving $20 tip I ever handed out. In hindsight, I should have given him more. Very impressive.) All in all, Bally's proved to be a great value and one of the best locations in Vegas.

stayed at ballys 4/18-4/22 checked in at hotel late arrival so there was not a line (12am). hotel room on the north tower was clean and bigger then i expected but nothing flashy and really as long as the room is clean that to me is the most important factor bathroom had shower bath combo but the supplied plenty of towel and differnt soaps and shampoos to use. every staff member we came across were friendly and the location was great right in the center of the strip easy walking distance to caesars, flamingo, bellagio, and also connected to paris and if you do not feel like walking there is monorail station located on site as well located down by the pool area.you are able to use thier rewards card at lots of different locations as well a big plus if you like to earn comps.overall i would stay here agian the location and the price of the rooms are very good compared with what else is on the strip.

I've always thought of this place as sort-of "blah." But having stayed there for the first time over NASCAR weekend, my opinion of Bally's has changed for the better.
You can't beat the location. We had a room on the 16th floor of the North tower, and it looked practically brand new. The beds were very comfortable. The only issue I had was paying $3/day to use the safe in the room, as other hotels don't do this. The service was excellent across the board. The casino is not as exciting as some of the others on the Strip, but they have all the basics covered, and it's hard to get lost in there. The drink service was much improved since the last time I visited. They have a lounge act that rocked every night. I felt very comfortable gambling here.
Just because a hotel doesn't have dancing fountains or a volcano outside of it, doesn't mean it's not a good place to stay. I would stay at Bally's again in a heartbeat. Great value in a great location.

This has always been my favorite place to stay and play. It's the perfect location for the strip. You can walk across the street, go through what is now called Bill's Casino, go out the back door and be at Flamingo. Or, you can take the moving sidewalk over to Bellagio where you have the option of hanging a right and heading into Caesers. Then again, you can go down by the spa and take the tram over to MGM. Walk down the hall and you are in Paris. Go out the back door of Paris, walk next door and you're in Planet Hollywood. It's all right there at your disposal without needing to get in the Taxi line. The comps have always been abundant as well.

Stayed one night in a deluxe room, North tower. The check-in gold card line was empty...Yay! However, the lady didn't look at my room request and put me in a non-smoking room facing south away from the strip with a view of the convention center roof..Ugh! One phone call quickly solved the problem, however. I was given a strip view room on the 22nd floor with a view of the Bellagio fountains. The deluxe rooms are very roomy-almost like a petite suite with a sofa-coffee table and a separate marble breakfast nook type table. The bathroom was basic size but had marble and Plenty of towels, at least six of each size. Bed was comfy as all harrah's rooms are.
Hint: ask for an odd numbered room, those face the strip. the even numbered ones face south toward Koval Rd.
Cons: NO coffee maker, high room service prices. Also, since I didn't play much at Ballys or Paris(only $100 or so), HET cancelled all my Vegas offers, even the ones that didn't expire for another month. Goodbye HET. You've lost another player. Both Ballys and Paris' casinos are NOT up to snuff for a 4 star center strip property. The VP machines had broken, sticky buttons and the cocktail service was almost non-existent. Oh, did I mention harrahs casinos are Very tight? You are better off playing at an MGM property or Coast casino.
I am happy with the room, even if I had to pay for it but forget playing here. They just take your money.
See Big Elvis across the street at Bill's!!

I went to Vegas with a bunch of my friends. The good thing about Bally's is the location. It's in the center of the strip and that's nice.
But the rooms were very dirty. We had to keep changing rooms (3 times). One room had bubble gum on the bed. All the rooms were very dusty which caused my allergies to act up. Most of the rooms they sent us to had views of the roof. It was very bad. If you want a good view of the strip, request to stay in the old tower.
The escalators from the strip to the Hotel never worked. It was over 100 degrees outside and it was really hard to walk up the escalators without feeling like you were about to pass out.
I do like the casino at Ballys. Everyone there was friendly and the tables were reasonably priced.
I guess you get what you pay for. Bally's is cheap and for the price and location, we thought we were getting a good deal. I will never stay at Bally's again. The rooms at the Flamingo were a lot better!!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS I HAVE SEEN HERE. I HAVE VISITED BALLY'S TWICE AND HAVE BEEN WELL SATISFIED EACH TIME. THE SERVICE HAS BEEN JUST FINE AND THE FOLKS IN THE DIAMOND CLUB CHECK IN COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. THOSE WHO SAY THE CASINO IS SMALL DON'T KNOW WHAT SMALL IS. THE POOL IS GREAT AND THE WHIRLPOOL IS AS BIG AS I'VE SEEN. THE FOOD IS GREAT (BUFFET AND STEAK HOUSE VERY GOOD). 2 YRS AGO I WENT WITH MY WIFE AND COMING OFF THE PLANE SHE ALL BUT BROKE HER ANKLE. THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING EVERYWHERE WE WENT TO SEE SHE WAS COMFORTABLE AND DID NOT HAVE TO WAIT IN LINES FOR SEATINGS. LAST YR. WE WENT WITH HER 2 BROTHERS AND SISTER AND THEY WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FACILITY AND THE SERVICE. AS ALWAYS GREAT LOCATION AND REASONABLE RATES, GET YOURSELF A TOTAL REWARDS CARD AND YOU WILL SEE THE COMPS START COMING FOR FUTURE TRIPS. THIS MAY NOT BE THE BEST CASINO IN VEGAS BUT FOR THE MONEY AND THE LOCATION IT IS HARD TO BEAT.....PS.. TRY TO GO DOWN TO HARRAHS IN LOUGHLIN (90 MILES SOUTH)A LITTLE SLOWER PACE AND A NICE FACILITY ON THE COL. RIVER.

We stayed at Bally's for the first time this past week for 2 nights and had a very nice time. Dh slipped a $20 to desk clerk (did airport check-in) and got us upgraded to a very nice room in north tower with jacuzzi tub and large bathroom for our anniversary. The hotel is not swanky like some of the others on the strip but very adequate for our needs and the price was definitely right (mid-week summer rate). We used the pool one day (went down after lunch and had no problems finding chairs). We played poker in poker room, blackjack, slots, and video poker. I had a great time winning at blackjack early in the morning while DH was still asleep. I love the strip location and the connection to Paris. I would definitely go back given a good rate.

We got married in Las Vegas on the 1st of April and stayed at Bally's for 6 nights. We didn't tell anyone at the hotel that we were marrying. My elderly parents were with us. We checked in early, about 2PM and there was no problem doing that. I did ask for rooms in the north tower and they were given to me. We did check in on a Saturday and the rooms ended up being on different floors, but that was fine. The rooms were lovely and clean, non-smoking. The mattress was practically new and quite comfortable. Linens clean and crisp. Bathroom was mostly marble and had a huge floor to ceiling mirror, which is fantastic for getting ready for a wedding. The view was fine. The staff of the hotel was quite pleasant and efficient. The location of Bally's can not be beat, right in the middle of the strip, which is great because the one weakness of this hotel is the parking, which is shared with the Paris and there just isn't enough of it. Also my Dad is over 90 and has some difficulty walking and finding a handicapped parking spot was just about impossible.
As far as the casino goes, we used the Sports Book every day and it was huge with private tv's as well as huge screens for each event. The staff was very helpful and not the typical embittered people you can find in some of the books in Vegas. My dad plays poker for about 10 hours each day and by the middle of the first day, all of the people in the poker room knew him and really took very good care of him. Can't say enough about that.
I really feel that for the money, way less than $100 per night, except Saturday you cannot beat this hotel. Our friends who came in for the wedding checked in about 7:30PM on Saturday evening and were upgraded to a suite in the south tower, the room was huge and wonderful. Who can complain about an upgrade like that?
I have stayed at many of the strip properties and this is my favorite. Clean, friendly, very few children. An adult atmosphere for people looking for a relaxed experience. On the wedding day we had lunch at The Sterling Brunch, that review is in the buffet section.

Just went with some friends 4/12 - 4/15. Played there a bunch of times, but never actually stayed there. Was a little nervous since my parents were scheduled to stay there the day after the 1978 fire (bad omens). I was happy that my room was ready by Noon on Thursday, after checking in at the airport. The size was fricken huge for a standard hotel room. Stayed in the North Tower room facing back towards the Strip. Did 98% of my gambling at Bally's/Paris. Could always find a table and the cocktail service was really quick. Ate at Bally's buffet for lunch...ok. Ate at Paris buffet for breakfast...awesome. I like that they have a deli and pizza place down by the sports book, just in case you get the munchies and want to catch a couple of innings of the Sox game. Did not go to the pool, but did use the spa a couple of days. Good sized workout room and really nice spa facilities. $38 for a two-day pass, so that was nice. I'm going back in June and am staying there again. Play with the Total Rewards card and you'll get some really good rates. I'd recommend this place if you want the following: nice sized clean hotel room, spectacular location, cool atmosphere, great value.

We had a great stay at Bally's. We were scared off by the many negative reviews, but they seem unfounded. We stayed on the top floor of the "dreaded" south tower (no upgrade) and the room was enormous with a fantastic view. The location and value for your money can't be beat. Housekeeping kept the room well-maintained, but were never intrusive. Everything you could ever want to experience was just a short walk/tram/Bus/Shuttle away. All employees we came in contact with were friendly & helpful. Granted, the pool was a bit of a hike, but once you got there it was extremely worth the walk. I don't believe there are any other 12 ft. deep pools in Vegas. Overall , We had a wonderful visit & are recommending Bally's to our friends.

We had a north tower room which was very spacious and clean. The furnishings are nothing out of the ordinary but it was comfortable. The complimentary shampoos, etc., were of poor quality. I had always stayed at the Luxor in the past and had been used to the nice decor and the little extra's and was a bit disappointed in Bally's. But while I didn't feel pampered I must say the location was out of this world. Everything was within walking distance. The casino was good, comfortable to be in. I guess that sums Bally's up for me comfortable great location and a good deal for the money.

BALLY'S HAS PROBABLY THE BEST LOCATION ON THE STRIP. LOVE THE SIZE OF THE ROOMS AND THE BATHROOMS ARE NICE AND LARGE. IT'S THE OLD MGM GRAND AND I THINK IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OF LIFE LEFT IN IT. THE POOL IS FANTASTIC AND ALL THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY NICE THAT WE DELT WITH. WE WERE ON THE 23 FLOOR LOOKING OUT OVER THE PARKING LOT AT BARBARY COAST, GOOD VIEW OF THE STREET AND CITY FACING THAT DIRECTION. HOUSEKEEPING KEPT OUR ROOM IN FANTASTIC SHAPE AND WERE VERY NICE & ALWAYS HAD TOWELS FOR US WHEN WE ASKED. BALLY'S HAS ONE OF THE BEST LOCATIONS ON THE STRIP AND YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON A NICE CLEAN ROOM AND FAST / WORKING ELEVATORS. NOW FOR THE PART I DID NOT LIKE.

The lady at airport check-in was very friendly and helpful. I broke my ankle 2 days before the trip and was in a cast. She said, "Let's see what we can do about getting you a room NOW." It was 9am, so I figured I'd have to wait, but she got one that was ready and as close to the elevator as possible. The room was typical Ballys, dated but functional, and we had a fridge in the room. The only bad thing was our room backed to the elevators and we had to listen to them but it was better than walking further with my ankle. Nearly every employee that saw my ankle asked if there was anything I needed or if they could help. I had my foot up on a sidetable in the poker room and the manager came over to me, I thought to tell me to get my foot down, but he asked if I wanted some cushions under my foot. Then he had food brought to me. Something they don't usually do.
There were 2 other couples in our group and they also liked their rooms and the service. It was their first time at Ballys and they both said they would return due to the service, price and location.

Bally's is on a downhill slide. The sale of Harrah's properties may be part of the problem, but what a disappointment compared to last visit. Poor housekeeping service, valet parking a disaster every day, and the smokiest casino south of Fremont Street. The old class act is no more.

Fifth time staying here and Harrahs are ruining the place imo. Buffet has gone dramatically downhill with less options than before. The Party Pit is too loud and too near to other tables. Slots & VP are definately tighter than they used to be. As for the Total Rewards program - it sucks compared to the old comps system. Such a shame as I used to love this place and the location can't be beaten.

We have been staying at Bally's for years and have always felt that this was one of the best values on the strip. However this trip we noticed that the property is starting to go downhill. Bathrooms are old and poorly serviced, the casino is no longer comfortable to play in, the newly renovated rooms are already beginning to show significant wear and tear (poor workmanship), the cafe is no longer open 24 hours a day, the food in the restaurants are not up to their former standards and the shopping mall is now a joke. The staff continues to try and make your visit pleasent but they seem to reflect the general deterioration of the property. We still give the property a marginal thumbs up but this may have been our last stay here.

Just returned from my third stay at Bally's. I had not stayed there since 2002, and was pleasantly surprised to find a one cup coffee maker on the bathroom vanity!!!!! This is the first time I had experienced this at a Strip hotel. What a super addition to this already super property. I had forgotten how big the rooms are...I really missed that. I have never had much luck at this casino, but it's not like there aren't other places to go. The food at the Sidewalk Cafe has gone somewhat downhill since my last visit, but again, it's not like there aren't other places to go. Considering the price and location, for my money this is the best place to stay on the Strip. I will definitely be back, most likely in the Spring of 2007!

We have stayed at many other hotels in Vegas but never at Ballys. I had read some of the reviews and decided to see for myself. From the time we pulled into the valet parking area until we left, five days later the service was great. Everyone who worked at the hotel and in the casino was so nice and efficient. The room was larger and nicer than I even expected. I don't know what other people expect but for my wife and I this was our best trip to Vegas yet thanks to Ballys. WE WILL BE BACK.

I stayed at Bally's for a week during a conference. I have never been to Vegas before so I can’t compare the rooms to any other hotels on the strip. My room was updated and spacious. The cons…no daily newspaper, coffee maker or robes in the room and the shower had no water pressure. Other than that, location was superb. Not much to do at Bally’s but you are so close to anything else that it doesn’t matter. Plus, it is nice to walk in the fresh air after being inside a smoky casino. I always felt I was in a safe atmosphere at the hotel and never felt nervous or rattled by anything out of the ordinary.
The service of the hotel operator or whoever answered when I called down to ask if there was a drugstore in walking distance left much to be desired. I was told there are no drugstores in walking distance and when I asked where the closest one was she said she did not know. She might not have known, but she could have at least asked someone else because on my walk of the strip I was shocked to walk right by a CVS and Walgreen’s. It didn’t ruin my trip but it says something to me about the hotels customer service.
I would not say this hotel is kid friendly for a couple of reasons. One…the old lady from Something About Mary was topless at the pool and people are smoking while in the pool. Two…I saw what sure looked to be hookers walking through the hotel.
Hotel check-in. You can check-in at the airport but I checked in at the hotel. We arrived on a Saturday and my co-worker checked in at the airport and waited in a huge line for at least 20 minutes. I checked in at the hotel and there was no line or wait. Unless you do express checkout on the tv, there was a line to check out on Friday morning so get down and expect to wait about 10 minutes.
Oh and hotel long distance calls are a FORTUNE. Use your cell or calling card! One 18 minute call cost me about $25!

My wife and I stayed at Bally's from 5/10/06 to 5/16/06. We initially stayed on the 16th floor of the North Tower facing the strip. However, due to my sensitivity to noise, we moved across to room 1650 which faces the pool area (at a good distance). We are not concerned about the view since all we do is sleep and get ready for the next day of gambling. The room was a decent size with two beds, the usual TV in a cabinet that had drawers for clothes. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination and one sink. There were two drawbacks to the room. The toilet would not stop running and the maids (even with good tips and instructions) failed to give us extra towels and shampoo/conditioner. I did like the thermostat which could be set up or down at .5 degrees F. The curtains were thick keeping out the light. Once we moved to the new room, it was very quiet (which is the #1 most important thing to me - which is why I always ask for a high room, away from the elevators, away from the ice machines, and as far down the hallway as possible). I didn't take into account the strip noise this time, but it was corrected. As for the casino, it is a VERY busy casino most hours of the day. My wife and I are used to playing penny slots which we see a lot of in Bally's Atlantic City. We did not see a good selection of penny slots which forced us to play at other casinos. Normally, we are not "strip/downtown" players. We prefer the off-strip casinos and always rent a car. Thus, we played mostly at those locations (Stations/Fiesta/Coast). Besides slots, we also play craps although my wife plays less than I do. Bally's usually has $5 craps in the mornings, but go up to at least $10 at night. The drink service is very good. I don't drink alcoholic drinks although my wife does drink beers every once in a while. I always ask for coke or Pepsi products. Bally's is the only casino we visit that give large/tall glasses. The penny machines we did play seemed rather tight. In fact, they seemed tighter than some of the other strip properties we visited (Caesars, Paris, Mandalay Bay, etc.). Maybe it was just our bad luck. The valet service was decent. Expect better service for all amenities the higher the chain you are in the Harrah's system. We are at the lowest level (Gold) so we don't expect top of the line service. All-in-all, Bally's is OK and in a very good strip location if you are into staying and playing on the strip, but since we don't mind driving all over the place, we will go back to staying at one of the off-strip properties for a better value, less tight machines, and a better selection of penny machines. We did not eat at any of the food establishments in Bally's or take advantage of their amenities, such as the pool or spa, so I can't comment on that.

Stayed at Bally's from 5/13 for 5 nights. Got a real great rate of $70/ night via their web site. The Hotel and Casino don't look much different since the last time I stayed there in 2001. The pictures the show of the remolded rooms on the site are not accurate. Everyone I talked to who was staying there did not have a remodeled room. But, overall it was still a nice place to stay. The rooms are very large and well kept. The casino is small, but in nice condition. They recently re-carpeted the whole casino. The one downfall of Bally's is the pool. If they are going to keep Bally's open, then they need to remodel the pool area. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay on the strip who is on a budget.

A decent hotel in a central location. Easy to visit the other hotels on the strip. Nice be connected to Paris.
Our room was just right for what we needed. Nothing extravagant, but practical.
Pool area was alright, but drink prices by pool were high. $34.00 for two strawberry daquari's.
Casino not as big as others but enjoyable. Drink service in casino was above average.
Would definetly stay here again for next visit.

Since Harrah's has purchased Bally's everything about the Hotel/Casino has gone down hill and then some. The Slot Club has changed for the worst and it does not pay to even belong to it. The service on the Casino floor or rather the non-service is really bad. We had to push the button on the Slot machine for a malfunction just to tell the person that we needed to have a cocktail waitress come and serve us. We talked to a lot of employees and all of them were unhappy with the Harrah's buy out. We have been to Bally's 3 times and the 3rd time was the worst because of the changes to the negative. We have been told time and again and again that the South Tower was to be renovated but still is not done. I wish more people who have stayed at Bally's since the start of 2006, would give their opinion. The Employees are not happy because of all of the changes that Harrah's has done in other words done away with.

Ok, Ok. I've read all the bad stuff and the good stuff written about Bally's. This was my first stay here. Many of the bad things scared me. But, for the value and the location, I couldn't pass it up. I couldn't have been more pleased! We had a great room in the north tower. New carpet, clean bathroom, plenty of room! I loved the "small" size of the casino. We felt VERY comfortable there. I'm not saying the big casinos are bad, but the smaller ones are more "homey". We spent most of our time gambling here. The hotel was clean, the resteraunts were clean, the casino was clean, the public restrooms were clean. I didn't see the south tower everyone keeps talking about. It sounds pretty bad. We're actually staying here again this October. I am definitely going to go up the south tower elevators to check these "bad" rooms out. I will reply with what I find.
Sounds to me that most of the bad things said came from the south tower guests. If you had stayed in the north tower, you would have a different story. For the money, you CANNOT beat Bally's!!!!
Location, Location, Location!
When it comes to service. I have real issues here. I don't expect to be treated like a king or a high roller. I just want to check in and out. Too many of you complain about the service. You try dealing with all these "crazies" from around the world that want it all! I'd have the same bad attitude you talk about. But, I did not have any issues with service on my visit to Ballys'.
I will stay here again and again and again! And I reccommend it to everyone!

My Boyfriend and I stayed 2/12-2/16 for Valentine's Day. Check in at the airport if you fly to Las Vegas. I checked in while he waited for the luggage and I was done first. There was a long check in line at the hotel that we got to walk right past as we headed to our room. We stayed in the North Tower. We didn't have a very good view but that wasn't a priority for us and we hadn't asked for a Strip view so that was ok. There were good curtains that kept the room dark so we could sleep late after late nights. The room itself was nice, exactly as is shown on their website. We paid $79 per night so I felt it was a good value for the accomodations and location.
The casino felt more garish than others but my boyfriend liked the poker room and did well. Drink service at the slots was average. I lost my Connection Card the first night and they were very nice when I had to replace it.
The walkway to the Paris was a high point, two casinos for the price of one. We ate at some restaurants there as well as the Steakhouse at Bally's and were happy with all of our meals.
The monorail stop on the back is convienent even if they charge too much for the monorail itself (up to $5 a ride or $9 for two). You can walk so many places from Bally's that you only need to use other transportation a few times.
Overall, this is a great place for someone who wants a good value but doesn't want to break the bank. It isn't the Bellagio so anyone expecting it to be will be dissappointed but I found it to be clean, comfortable and pleasant. I would definately return.

The standard room was very large. We had a roll-away bed and still had a lot of room. I wish they would put coffee makers in the rooms, I realize that most hotels in Vegas don't but it it would be nice (I hate having to shower and get dressed in order to go down and get coffee). I couldn't believe that they charge $3.00 per day to use the IN ROOM SAFE. I have stayed at Paris, TI, Venetian, RIO and The golden Nugget and have never been charged to use the safe. Great Location on the stip with convient location to the monarail (The cost of that is another rant).

Me and some friends and family stayed at Ballys when we went to Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday. Our plane arrived early in the morning so we had to waste some time before the 3 o'clock check in. Well to make a very long story short....when my boyfriend and I checked in the woman at the desk asked us if we wanted to upgrade to s suite for an extra $50 a night. It was my birthday (actually the day before) so we went ahead and got the suite room #7012 in the south tower. The room was actualy real nice we had a huge bed and a jacuzzi......when we got in the room I was so tired from the flight and everything so I got into the jacuzzi......the next day (my 21st b-day) i woke up and my chest, back and legs itched really bad. I noticed I had some sort of rash all over my body. I wasnt going to let it ruin my trip and I thought I got the rash from the hotel soap. Well, two weeks after we had gotten home from our trip the rash had gotten worse and turned into soars on my back. Well after a trip to my doctor I was informed that my rash was called fibriculosis and I had gotton it from the jacuzzi in my suite. Well, after I found that out I called Ballys just to let them know whoever they are paying to clean those rooms does a horrible job, and I wanted to at least see if we could get the extra $50 that we paid every night to stay in the suite. Well after 2 weeks of people pointing fingers at each other I finally recieved a letter in the mail yesterday apologizing for what happened, but they say that they are not liable for the rash and there is no way I can prove thats where I got it from. So anyone who is reading this before you stay there dont get into any jacuzzi or bath tubs in that establishment obviosly cleanliness is at the bottom of there list at that hotel.

Check in at the airport was a mixed bag - no lines (good), problem with my reservation (or maybe just the clerk using the system) (bad), ended up with a Strip view in the North tower, which was pleasing :)
Rooms are spacious and clean. Drink service in the casino is excellant. Late check out til 1pm at no cost, very nice. Housekeeping was very attentive to the fact we had three in a room - they left extra towels without us asking.
View was of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd corner, looking west up Flamingo, with a shot of Bellagio fountains. Quiet on the 23rd floor with good elevator service.
Didn't win much but had a great visit and all of us agreed we would like to stay here again in the future.

Enjoyed visit at Bally's Hotel. Arrived early, 9:30a.m. and rooms were ready for check-in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had 2 rooms, both on non-smoking floor. Rooms were bright, nice decor, and nice size. bathroom was beautiful with granite floors, wall tiles & counter. Had Granite writing desk,
large chair with ottoman, ottomans at ends of each bed and a mirrored desk,
ironing board & iron and extra pillow. Not much of a gambler, but the casino was bright and not as smoky as some others. Only wish there were coffee pots available in each room, but the coffee bought at kiosk in lobby was very good, although expensive. Location of hotel, mid-strip, is excellent. Room price was good and check-out was a breeze--done over phone! I would definitely recommend Bally's to friends and would return here for another stay.

This is a decent hotel. The rooms are large, the service is good, and the location can’t be beat. The room I was in did NOT look like the pictures on the website but it was large and clean. The location is great in the middle of the strip. I just wish the hotel was not pushed so far back. It seems like about ¼ mile to get back to the casino and hotel. The pool was nice and not over crowded. Again it is just far away. You have to go all the way through the casino and through the shopping mall top get to the pool. I love that there is a monorail stop at the casino. It sure is nice to hop on it when it’s 110 degrees outside. The casino is nice but a little small. 5$ tables are very limited. Most of the time it’s $10 tables at up. I had a good stay and I would be willing to stay there again

- Bad Visit
Last year (August 2004) my wife and I stayed at Bally's with family and had a great time. In short the rooms were beautiful, the location was excellent, and the service was commendable. In addition Bally's has the best buffet I've ever eaten with a great selection and price, and the wait for check-in was not long at all. When we checked in we needed two king rooms and one double queen and since they had none available on the same floor, the clerk gave us all upgraded rooms on the same floor at no charge. We were all in the North tower, but be aware, Bally's also has a South tower and that's where the problem lies. We went back again this year (August 2005) and were given rooms in the South tower and although other reviews sugarcoat it, I will give you the truth with no exaggeration. The pictures shown on Bally's website give you the impression that the standard rooms are the pretty North tower rooms which are shown, but that is not true. The standard rooms are South tower rooms which are not shown (or no one would ever go there). North tower rooms (called Deluxe rooms)cost $20 more PER NIGHT! You must upgrade at the front desk if you want one, but you might not get asked if you would like to. I wasn't. The front desk clerk was very snotty and borderline rude, but she was the only hotel employee we encountered that ever exhibited that type of behavior. The South tower hallways and lobbys are very dark and dingy. The South tower rooms are about as large as North tower rooms, but they are beyond a little dated. They are downright HORRIBLE. The carpet was stained, filthy, and musty. The upholstered chairs and couch were dirty and ran down as if someone had been jumping on them with shoes on. The dressers and side tables were so stained and sratched up it was unreal, and some of the drawers didn't even close all the way. The television, instead of being in a cabinet, sat on an old rickety side table that looked like it was about to fall at any moment. Also the bed was very old fashioned with a sagging mattress, and the comforter was threadbare and had hair and crumbs all over it. The bathroom was horrible also. The shower was mildewed and there were cracks in more than a few of the tiles. The counter was stained and cracked as well. Suffice it to say, my wife and I were not happy. My wife went so far as to say there is NO WAY she could take off her shoes and get comfortable in that room. We went downstairs to speak to a manager and my wife informed her how unhappy we were and asked how they could even dare to rent out such rooms let alone even have them in such a nice hotel. We let her know we were APPALLED. The manager was very nice and apologetic and informed us that they were in the process of renovating the South tower. She upgraded our rooms to the North tower for free and continued to apologize for our discomfort. That was very nice, but I want visitors to be aware. If you book at Bally's you will get a South room unless you upgrade for $20 more per night. South tower rooms are HORRIBLE!!!!! And even though some people try to make it better by telling themselves that they won't be in their room much, trust me, it doesn't make it better at all! In addition Bally's doesn't even send repeat guests coupons, or incentives to visit the hotel again. Even lowly Circus Circus did that when we stayed there a few years ago. So. be warned ,be aware, and be informed. We will never stay at Bally's again.

We stayed at the Flamingo but with my Connection card gambled a lot at Ballys. Really liked the casino. Open, not too smoky ( my wife LOVED that), lots of action on the machines and tables. Easy to navigate. Easy access to Paris. Good drink service. Not many kids. All in all a great place to spend some time. Live music, good old Motown,in the back part of the casino on Fridays and Saturdays also a plus.

I've never stayed at Bally's but have visited the casino each trip to Vegas. I have to say that the location is spectacular. However, I found the gambling to be quite tight and the cocktail service on the floor to be non-existent. I finally perched myself at a half-empty video poker bar where I continued to wait another 10-15 minutes for a mixed drink. The bartender offered no smile, no manners, no consideration. So, in return I offered no tip. Nuff said.

we first stayed in ballys in 2001 and have since stayed there three times .the rooms are really clean and well maintained the only thing was we were put in the north tower and the hall way was very dark and and dingy something from the shining.slots were very kind to us blackjack is criminal here every double down and split never paid out that just comes down to your luck though . if you are after a drink best of luck in here the are so slow .
i would recommend this hotel to stay in the location is ideal for everything and staff are very friendly.

This was my second time to Bally's and it was even better than the first time. Check in was done at the airport faster than my luggage came off the airplane at Baggage Claim. Room was huge and in great condition. This is by far my favorite hotel. It doesn't have all the bells and glitz as some other hotels, but I don't want to pay for it. Plus, that gives me something to go look at when I'm not gambling. Won some money, paid for the trip, can't wait to go back. I would recommend it to anyone.

- Bad Visit
Booked Bally's for a wedding anniversary trip based on an offer we recieved for cheap rooms and a discount for the Jubilee show. Have stayed at several Vegas hotels in the past (Mirage, Paris, Aladdin) but had a lower expectation for Bally's before the trip as it is much older than the others I have stayed at. They lived up to (or rather down to) my lower expectations. Once we arrived at the airport we got in line to check in a the airport desk. The line was fairly long but moved steadily.
Once I got to the desk I slipped a twenty between my license and credit card. The representative at the desk was helpful and found a west facing room at the end of the North Tower but told us that the room was not quite ready as the maid was still in the room cleaning and that we would need to stop at the hotel desk to pick up our keys. I didn't see this as a problem and accepted the room. Paperwork from there was processed quickly and we were on our way to pick up our rental car. I had booked at Alamo to save a couple of $$ but found the line at the airport very long so we went ahead and took the shuttle to the car lot hoping that the line at the counter there was shorter. Once we arrived I discovered that the line was even longer there and after standing in line for several minutes I overheard another couple in front of me discussing the fact that several people ahead in the line had been waiting for over an hour and were still a long way to getting to the head of the line. Since I am an Emerald Club member with National (Alamo's sister company and in the same building) I had my wife go over to check if we could move our reservation. She returned a couple of minutes later to say that it would not be a problem. I moved over to the National counter (with no customers in line) and the rep transferred my reservation and we were finished in a couple of minutes. I ended up with a larger class vehicle for a few dollars more but was easily out of the lot 1-2 hours ahead of everyone else in the Alamo line.
Easy drive (even on Las Vegas Boulevard) to Bally's and pulled into the Valet line (one good thing about Bally's is that the valet parking is complimentary). The valets didn't appear very quick and waited a few minutes for one to arrive even though they weren't very busy. The bell staff seemed oblivious to new arrivals as they seemed to be just standing by the entrance and talking to themselves so we gathered our own luggage and made our way into the hotel. By this time a good hour had passed since we had been at the airport check-in desk so I assumed that the room should be ready. After checking at the desk they still showed the room to not be ready and check later. Okay... no problem since we hadn't eaten we checked our luggage (going back outside) with the dis-interested bell staff and walked over to the Paris to get something to eat.
After a meal at the Paris sidewalk cafe (good food and pleasant staff) we proceeded back to the Bally's desk only to learn that the room still was not ready but the rep said she would contact housekeeping and for us to check back in about 15 minutes. Fine... we needed to get tickets to Jubilee so we moved to the box office ticket line and got tickets in about 20 minutes.
Back to the check-in desk only to find that there was still no information regarding when, or if, the room would be ready. The rep offered us another room in the south tower on the 23rd floor that faced the Paris and had a partial view of the Bellagio. It was also a smoking room even though we had requested a non-smoking room. Since it was getting into the evening and I had begun to loose faith if the other room would ever be ready we accepted this room.
The south tower elevators are reasonably close to the desk and front door but at the far end of the casino. Since the elevators only handle about 8 floors service to your floor is quick with little wait. Once we arrived at our floor we stepped back into a 70's flashback. Dark carpet, furnishings and low lighting gave the hallway a gloomy, depressing look. Our room was not too far down the hallway and we entered a large room with similar furnishings. The room was reasonably clean (didn't really notice anything) but everything looked very worn and the room obviously had not been remodeled in years (probably decades if ever). Plastic headboad on the platform bed that banged against the wall, threadbare sheets, no writing desk, small round table with two chairs, small television, no mini-bar, small closet (bad design), 70's style nightstands and dresser with some of the drawers not working well and really funky lighting.
The bathroom was reasonbly large but missing shampoo in the amenity tray (hotel must have been out as the maid replaced it with Paris shampoo the next day). Plenty of towels but an old style tub enclosure in place of a shower curtain that you ususally find these days.
Since we had checked our luggage at the bell station I called down to have it brought up. After about 30 minutes I received a call from the bell staff asking for my ticket number again and to describe the luggage (two black bags... pretty much like 99% of the luggage everyone has). However after about another 15 minute wait they delivered the luggage to the room without further incident (this part was much smoother that a recent trip to Atlantis regarding my luggage).
Daily maid service varied... some days they were early to make up the room... other days it was late in the day before they got to it. Always had to call for extra towels each day but they arrived reasonably quickly each time.
We had gambled at Bally's before on previous stays but it has never been one of my favority casinos... very tight and for some reason I just have never liked the decor or layout.
The next day we decided take a day trip and I called down to the valet to have my car brought around. I was told that I would have to go down to the valet and give them the number as I could not have it brought around just by calling. Very strange for a large hotel. Valet staff seemed very impersonal and could care less about their job but the vehicle was brought up quickly and I recieved good driving directions when I asked.
No particulary bad incidents with the stay but given the level of disinterest by the staff, the condition and decor of the hotel and the fact that better hotels on the strip are available for the same money I will not return to Bally's

Stayed during Spring Break. Very busy, but Hotel line-ups went fast. Hotel staff very friendly. Got upgraded to a jr. Suite without asking. Nice room near top of South Tower. Good view of Paris. Had asked for a non-smoking room, but it had obviously been smoked in. Hotel staff upon request did deoderize room. Very good location. Easy access to Monorail which stops at back of Hotel. One caution, if you book pre-paid with a package, you must put a deposit down or C-Card to use the room phone or any phone in the hotel. Even for Calling card calls they charge 1.25 for local or any call. They don't tell you that when you book in on a pre-paid package. Good clean rooms, have been upgraded. Buffet is OK, mid priced, lots of selection. Would stay here again as it is so convenient.

Check in at Airport is nice, but I'd recommend taking a taxi over a shuttle, unless you don't mind waiting on the shuttle in the heat for over 15 minutes.
Location of the hotel is good. Easy access to the strip and other nice hotels.
Hotel room was nice, but not thoroughly clean as I found a used soap bar on the tub between the two curtains... if you clean a tub, how do you miss that?
I pretty much paid full price for the rooms because the construction convention was in town. I was staying for 7 nights, and received no "bonuses/upgrades" or anything that made paying what I did tolerable. In fact, four of us booked tickets at Jubilee and got horrible front row seats. Okay show... if you are in the back... They never warned us they were front row or even discussed seating when booking. On the other hand, when I booked Mystere at Treasure Island, they discussed the seats and recommended which ones I should take. Then when I went to pick the tickets up, the girl at the counter even upgraded us without even asking .... and this wasn't even our hotel!
Found Bally's Casino slots/poker very tight. I did much better on the poker and slot machines at the older hotels and I did really well on Freemont street.
Service while gambling is HORRIBLE. Can't get a drink to save your life, and when you do order one, they never seem to make it back. Other hotels had much better and prompt service. In fact, Paris was great. Our group of 4 was tired one night and plopped down at some penny poker machines in Paris. The waitress was friendly and promptly served us drinks all night... even though they were just penny slots!
I've played at Bally's in Atlantic City and I was just expecting a little better treatment for the money I put out.
Will probably not stay there again. Would consider Paris or Treasure Island where they were very friendly and attentive.

We were in Las Vegas 2/7-2/11. We picked the right week, in between 2 of the largest conventions. We checked in at the airport, and there was no line at all. It was great!! Again, thanks for the tip I got on this site.
It was our first trip to Vegas, and we had a room on the 20th floor in the North Tower facing the Bellagio. It was a wonderful room. It was big, and newly decorated. We had huge picture windows looking across to the Bellagio and all the way down to the Palm. It was great to see the dancing fountains from our room every 15 min. at the Bellagio. Unfortunately, the South Tower blocked out a portion of it. We found Ballys a great location to navigate the whole strip. When we got there we purchased 3 day passes on the Monorail, which saved us a lot of walking and money on cabs. Don't get me wrong, we still walked our feet off, but it would have been much worse.
We really loved that Bally's was attached by a hallway to the Paris. Especially since the last day we were there it rained. It was nice to have a comp card that was good at 4 different casinos. It was a great tip to get one account and 2 cards, because we were able to go shopping with our comps on the last day. We would stay here in a heartbeat, but next time we may try the Paris.

I just came back from Bally's Casino this past week, celebrating my 30th
birthday. I decided to pay for the whole trip and take my parents with me.
When we arrived at the hotel - they didn't have me in the reservations, and
catered to my parents the entire time. It was very difficult to get any
answers out of them and they acted as if they didn't want to be there. I
fought with them prior to the trip because my family has allergies to
smoke and the hotel staff made it VERY clear that they don't accomodate
people with non-smoking rooms until you get there to the hotel. Their
words - "you get what you get!" The non-smoking rooms were actually not
non smoking - there were clothes I didn't wear the wreaked of smoke
when I arrived home. Don't turn the air on - smoke comes right into the
rooms! The servers came up to us 1 time (in a 5 day stay) and asked if
we would like a drink. We actually never got a drink from them because
the two servers got into a argument in front of us - so that was the end of
that! The buffet was too expensive and just so-so food. The servers in the
buffet area were very nice though. I would not recommend this casino.
We only gambled once or twice there because we got so much better
treatment across the street at Bellagio. As soon as we sat down they
were catering to us! I'm from Orlando and this town thrives on customer
service and satisfaction. Maybe I'm just spoiled from that. There's only a
minority of gamblers in Las Vegas that are considered "high rollers." The
rest? You and I - trying to have that "experience" of winning a couple extra
bucks. If you've never been to Vegas - you'll see when you get there. Wall
to wall slot machines. Those are for us - the low rollers! If Vegas only
caters to the rich ones - then that was the last trip I'll ever take out there!

The place kinda has that old Vegas style working for it when it comes to the help . The dealers are great with the players even those who play the 10 dollar hands . I would stay here again hands down . Great place to play

Bally's is a relative value given its location on the Strip: a sister to Paris-Las Vegas that's across from Bellagio, with Flamingo and Caesars Palace a few steps to the north. More to the point, the rooms are nice - my mom has stayed at the more expensive Paris but preferred these rooms to those. The casino is functional and large, and the restaurant selection is more than adequate. Service was just fine. There's no defining theme to the resort (it was built pre-Mirage), but it is classy and adult.
On the whole, an excellent choice for those who want to stay mid-Strip but don't want the higher prices of most of its neighbors - everything from food to shows and stuff is less expensive here.

We were here for our 25th anniversay. We went to the customer service desk the night before checkout to see if we had any comps coming. The guy at the desk (KEVIN) was very rude to us and when we asked to speak to the manager .... the next thing we knew, we were surrounded by security. Instead of calling the manager-he called security and said we threatened him. He followed it by saying that reporting him to management was a threat. Well, security didn't do anything to us, but we never did get to speak to anyone of authority and did not find out what we went to the customer service desk to ask. I left crying. We called after we came back home and no one ever returned the call. As far as I am concerned this is no way to treat people or run a business, not only will I never go back-I would strongly advise against staying there. They ruined a special time in our life because of one incompetent employee...my guess is he worked there because of a relative, maybe thats why top staff couldn't give a paying customer the time of day............

Bally's Las Vegas

- Good Visit
This was our second stay at Bally's, and certainly not our last. In my opinion, Bally's is one of the best values on the Strip, with great location, good food, adequate shopping/amenities, and good variety in the Casino.
First, the location. An easy walk to Bellagio, Caesars, Flamingo, Barbary Coast, Paris, and Aladdin. A monorail stop in the rear.
The food? There is a (small) food court on the lower level, a buffet with good variety, but maybe a trifle high-priced, and several excellent restaurants. The Sidewalk Cafe is always friendly and efficient. Add to that the walkway to Paris, and you get double the selection.
I'm sure shopping is not on everyone's "hot list" when the go to Vegas, but it's nice to be able to leave some money on the property and have something to show for it, right? Bally's has a small shopping arcade on the lower level. Just enough to get you away from the slot machines for a while. Again, the walkway to Paris fills in the blanks. I can't speak to the pool, as we go in December each year ... I did visit the salon, and had a very pampered experience.
The Casino has a good variety of different denomination slot machines, both reel and video. My Mom cashed out the first evening, and played off that ticket for the rest of the week! The table minimums are reasonable, too.
Be sure to use the airport check-in ... it saves soo much time!
I've never had a problem with the service. The front desk, player's booth, box office, restaurants, dealers, security, and housekeeping, have all treated me with respect, and have responded quickly to whatever I needed.
It's hard to believe there are so many positive features at a property for as little as half the price of some of it's nearest competitors ...

We ended up staying here one night after our plane was delayed.
We were put in a room in the remodeled section for $69.00 on a Sunday. The room was lovely. Just can't say enough about it. The bed was huge - and very comfortable. There was a loveseat, chair, and coffee table along with a granite top desk in the livingroom. The balcony overlooked the strip - and all that Could have asked for would have been jets in the tub - HA!
The Casino Slots were the only ones I had won on all weekend. Great Stay!

Nice sized rooms, bigger than most other places. Casino is easy to navigate and not too large but cozy. Sterling Brunch was exceptional and so was their 24 hours coffee shop. Good fried chicken, and friendly people.
Enjoyed my stay and perfect location. Staff was helpful when needed.

This was my first visit to Las Vegas, it was a great trip! The check in at the airport was a breeze, and they arranged a shuttle ride to Bally's. My only complaint is that we waited an hour for the shuttle to load and take off.
I loved the location of Bally's on the strip, plus the easy walk to the Paris shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was in the North tower a non-smoking floor, we had a great view of the Wynn tower and the lights at night were amazing! The street below was noisy even from the 12th floor, sirens, sirens and more sirens all night long. Pulling the drapes did buffer the sound somewhat.
We did eat breakfast at the Big Kitchen Buffet, great meal for the money.
Looking for a mid range place to stay in Vegas go for Bally's!

What can I say about Bally's: Not good, not bad. Checked in at airport in less than 5 minutes. We were in the North Tower with a side view looking at the new Wynn Hotel. Service was good and consistant, but no turn-down service.
Pros: Location Location Location, Big Rooms, Price, Connected to Paris, Monorail station
Cons: Room stunk like an ash tray, stains on the couch in room, furniture out-of-date, pool has more old people than Century Village, casino hits on soft 17, remodeling much of the lobby
Would I stay here again: If I can find a nicer hotel that's not ridiculously more expensive than no, but for their price, another stay at Bally's could be enticing.

My wife and I stayed at Bally's along with another couple and all four of us were very pleased with our visit. Not being used to the huge hotels of Vegas it did feel like a very long walk to get from our room to anywhere, but other than that the service was great and the location was perfect.
If you catch the early flights in on the Thursday morning like we did check in isn't bad at all, but it was pretty lined up by the evening. Alot of comments on here suggest airport hotel check in, but that isn't a choice if you've booked a package and they expect you on the bus right away.

We stayed from 8/15 to 8/21. The room was in the north tower. Well maintained and VERY SPACIOUS. Not plush but certainly comfortable. Well worth the price (booked through travelocity with air package). The casino, although well laid out and customer friendly, was not my favorite with tight machines and the new rules for blackjack. I'd gamble elsewhere.
The connection to Paris was nice with some fine eating establishments located in the walkway area. Had the breakfast buffet once and it was very good.
Went to BaDaBing at the Aladdin - what a hoot!! Also enjoyed the Star Trek experience at the Hilton. (Get a $20 discount at Star Trek if you show a monorail ticket.) The monorail was a nice addition and definately saved us some shoe leather. It runs all the way from the Sahara south to MGM. One way ticket is $3 but discounts are available for volume purchases.
There is no place like LAS VEGAS. Enjoy your stay.

We stayed at Bally's on July 5, 2004. We had visitors from Germany and wanted to stay in a conveniently located hotel on the strip. Bally's fit the bill perfectly.
I had requested a north tower room after reading the comments on this page, but when we arrived, we were advised that the newest renovated rooms would cost an extra $20. We decided to take our chances with whatever room was available at the booked price of $69. The girl checking us in asked if we would consider a queen sized bed rather than the king we had reserved. We said we would and she said she would be able to upgrade us to two junior suites. After thanking her, we went up to our rooms on the 24th floor and found we had two fantastic rooms with nice views of the strip. Since the rooms were across the hall from each other, we could see both up and down the strip.
Our rooms were nicely decorated, with a Murphy bed that folded up into the wall to allow for more living space, a sofabed and a table and chairs. The room was large and spacious and included a sink and refrigerator in the bedroom section. The bathroom had a seperate dressing area and was also spacious.
The only complaint I would have about the room is that it did not include a coffee pot. I thought this was standard equipment in hotels nowadays and was disapointed to find this room lacked one.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay at Ballys and would return there without hesitation.

I thought for the money, Bally's was an okay hotel/casino. When my husband and I arrived, they were out of standard rooms with a king size bed, so we upgraded for only $25.00 to a suite. The suite was very dated, furniture dingy, ugly colors, but we had a great view of the strip. The hotel is under construction for renovation which was a bit of an eyesore, but hopefully they will renovate all the way to include some update on the rooms...The casino was fun. We lost our money to very nice dealers, never really had a problem with coctail waitresses! The jaunt to the pool was not fun, but the pool was clean and cool. On your way to and from the pool are some shops which make the walk less boring. We did see Jubilee which was a wonderful show which I would suggest to anyone without children under 18 or with children who were being supervised by someone else go to see. I would probably not stay at Bally's again just because I would like to see what else is on the strip. I have stayed at MGM Grand, their rooms were very large and very new so I know that there are very nice rooms out there...But again, for the money we spent, Bally's was an okay hotel and you don't HAVE to stay there all day. Go see and gamble at other hotels.

- Bad Visit
Stayed here 5 years ago and was pleased so decided to bring 12 of my closest friends here this July. Checked in at the airport (which is a good thing to do). Got to the rooms, our keys would not open our room. Had to go to other room and call, waited for security for 30 minutes and had to go stand in line for 45 min to get keys that worked. Got three hours of sleep that night because the jackhammer that went all night traveled to the 12th floor. We called and complained and got our rooms comped and were moved but not before standing in a very long line of grouchy guests to get our new keys. There were 3 very slow employees trying to take care of at least 50 guests in line. Joey (the very unhappy man who helped us) typed as slow as a turtle with no hands. People behind us were ready to kill him. Got to our new rooms (with no offer to move our things from them) and guess what, keys did not work again.
The rooms are very dated and dingy and the staff is very unfriendly. The table limits are too high for the crappy place this has turned into. This is my ninth trip to Vegas. The only positive about this place this trip was the location. From a Vegas Veteran, let me give you a hint. Stay at the Barbary Coast right across the street. Location is great, staff is friendly, waitresses actual wait on you every 10 to 15 minutes. Prices of hotel and tables are great. I stayed here once but choose to gamble here all the time where ever we do stay. It is our home away from home and we will stay here again next Vegas trip. Never will Bally's get our business again..

The actual hotel is very nice and if you get a room overlooking the Bellagio you get to see the water fountain show. The bad points of this hotel is that checkin/out is nasty!!! The lines are very long and slow. I would recommend checking in at the airport as they have a desk there (we got there too late at night). I would definitely not eat at The Sidewalk Cafe though as the service sucks!!! Everything else it is great. It is right on the strip.

Great Trip. See Trip Reports in LVOL. Got nice room (#2487) for 6/27-7/1 and cost about $100/extra, but worth it for view. Everyone at Park Place was cordial and accomodating and food and entertainment is all excellent without even having to go outside Bally's/Paris corridor. Bally's location is still the Best! Best $400.00 I ever lost! Front of building is under construction so stay away from lowest level rooms, if possible. See Gladys Knight concert at Flamingo next door. Spend time in lounges as bands are great! Good luck in Vegas!

Bally's location is fantastic. Loved the walkway between Casino and Paris hotel. It almost gives you the advantage of staying in two hotels at the same time. Rooms , while not on the level of the Venetian or Bellagio were very spacious and well taken care of. Casino felt very comfortable even on a busy weekend and did not have trouble finding a table to play on or a free machine. Excellent Value for the price.

Had a great stay. 10 couples went out there for a wedding. For a Holiday weekend they were full but still were able to give us great service. The wedding couples room was a great suite.Eight out of the ten rooms were clean & everything was newly replaced. This was in the north tower. One of the north tower rooms had problems but they fixed them within hours. Someone in our group of 10 had a south tower room & it was BAD so they ask for a north tower room & the next day they got a great room plus they were comped at the Buffet. We all went to the Kitchen Buffet the last day & it was great. Food was better then we expected and great service too.
Casino was great for some of us not so good for others but they don't build these places with winners, someone has to loss to pay for them I guess.
Pool area was crowded but great. Found chairs very fast. Great place to relax for a hour or so.
Will stay at Bally's again.

I checked in at the airport---very convenient timesaver, but difficult to find because of baggage area construction---and asked for strip view. Got a GREAT room in the south tower(7213), but had to wait several hours for it to be ready. Check-in lines at hotel were L-O-O-O-O-N-G! Room was spacious and pretty nice. I did not use the safe or the bottled water provided to the room($4.50/bottle). The walk to the pool from the south tower is long. Pool temperature was comfortable, but the hot tub temperature couldn't have been more than 87 degrees. I was very disappointed.
Bally's has a great mid-strip location. Walked over to Paris often as they are connected by large hallway. Bally's casino was okay.
Overall, a very nice stay.

This was our first visit to Las Vegas - and had no idea where to stay. Bally's was recommended, and overall we were happy with the choice. I read somewhere that it is considered "your father's casino" and found that statement to be true. Our room (north tower) was very large, and remodeled. It was "fine". Nothing spectacular. Had the opportunity to use the spa one day, and it was nice. Check-in was alittle lengthy, but not too bad. The location of Bally's on the Strip was perfect - we would probably try another hotel for our next trip though.

I had a great time at Bally's! The room was clean and very spacious. The bathroom was exceptionally nice. The layout of the hotel/casino is smart and easy to get around. Super location; easy walking distance to other casinos on the strip. Cabs were also plentiful when I needed one. I ate breakfast every day at their buffet; great food, selection and value. I hit for over $1000 twice on their slots, but even had I not won big I would stay at Bally's again. I recommend joining Bally's Connection Card Club. They have sent me several mailings offering free stays and comps. In fact, I will be staying 2 nights for free in March 2005. I will follow up this review with another one after my next visit.
